Hi India, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The thought of Risk taking is the number one reason people fail before they even start. I always tell my self yes it’s scary to take risk and i might fail but what if I succeed. I’m willing to take a risk and gamble on my self because I’m going to make sure that I win.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Popgurlz Event & Design Co started with bonding with my daughter through creating beautiful balloon and event decor, but I didn’t always look at it as a business. Stepping away from school to pursue my passion was beyond scary but with the support of my husband and family I knew this would be a life-changing endeavor that would not only build generational wealth but create a bond with my daughter that would never be broken. Starting a business just weeks before a global pandemic had to be the most nerve-racking and hopeless feeling, but I knew that putting my trust in God and knowing that nothing worth having comes easy would put my perspective back in order. I love the fact that by us being creative and productive, we are able to bring joy and excitement to our customers even during COVID 19. It definitely have not been a smooth road, but by being productive/consistent staying positive and not being afraid to put ourselves out there for the world to see has definitely worked out in our favor. For most event businesses, COVID 19 has really hit us hard but the spirit of celebrating a joyous occasion have never went away.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely go to Garden Parc ATL for brunch and hang out at the Ponce City Marketplace to walk the beltline. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to recognize my husband, he has been my biggest support system. He pushes me everyday to grow and learn more and more each day.
