We had the good fortune of connecting with Latasha Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Latasha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
It’s all GOD! I know that can sometimes sound so cliché’, but it’s true. I would describe myself as being very ministry-focused and purpose driven; so, I believe it’s the marrying of His divine Will for my life, and the innate abilities He’s blessed me with. In being so focused on pursuing purpose, “Reset Mondays” was born. It’s not just a placeholder for a day, it’s true action. It’s about taking a “Sabbath”…resting, resetting, refocusing your mindset, and getting aligned/centered to tackle life head on again! If I hadn’t been on the grind and working so tirelessly in ministry, I don’t believe this concept (for me) could have been birthed. I had to experience being burnt out, depleted, confused, you name it! So when I say it’s ALL GOD, I truly mean it was through focused prayer, re-alignment, and His direction that I was able to push forward! That’s the secret to my success!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The journey to where I am today has not been easy by any means. My career began in Corporate America where I was a Regional Trainer for two Fortune 500 companies. I enjoyed my time in that space, but knew there was more! Some experiences of being the only woman in the boardroom, being the only minority in a training course (and leading it at that), to experiences of just always traveling, not having a work/life balance….it prepped me for the life in ministry I ran from, but also taught me about the culture and team I needed to build or be part of. Making a career shift to full-time ministry was interesting, to say the least; but it’s been rewarding. I now serve as the first woman in the role of Lead Pastor of Ministries at my church, where I oversee all ministry operations, and report directly to our Senior Pastor. I train ministry teams and community leaders across the country, develop curriculums for church organizations, and most recently–write! I can’t “spill all the beans” now, but with this brand of “Reset Mondays”, there will be so much in store. It won’t just be encouragement, but we will give the necessary tools, resources, and connections to holistically “reset” in whatever area of life it’s needed. The work my team and I have put into the launch of this is what I’m most proud of. It’s like one of those passion projects that you don’t really know you’re working on until you look back and think that the vision has always been there, it’s just time to get it done! I believe what sets my brand and I apart is the passion, attention to detail, and level of connection/engagement that’s conveyed. I truly believe I was born to do what I’m doing. With a purpose to be a blessing to others, I find it my duty to give my all in encouraging, uplifting, building, and giving the tools/resources to leaders across the world!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I’d thank my Pastors, Rev. Jasper Williams, Jr. and Dr. Joseph L. Williams. Their mentorship, guidance, and support have meant the world to me. Also, to my family and team. They keep me grounded, uplifted, and always support my vision. Lastly, there’s a book by Pastor Sheryl Brady, “You Have It in You!” It reassured me of my calling, and the notion that God has given me everything I need to do what I’m called to do.
