We had the good fortune of connecting with Tasha Mosley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tasha, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
As a prosecutor I’m able to protect the community by removing from the streets individuals that want to harm other citizens. I’m also able to help by providing services to those individuals that need help and accountability. Our Courts have three accountability Courts; Drug, Behavioral and Veterans Court. These Courts allow us to address an individuals issues and get them back on the right track without incarcerating them.
We also do community outreach programs. We partner with the Clayton County Police Department to give away gun lock boxes and self defense courses. We teach classes on Victim Rights. We give two students form every high school in Clayton County a laptop and printer. We also participate in various back to school programs and other school activities throughout the year. We have established food pantry’s in several elementary, middle and high schools in our community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The journey has not been easy. There are constant attacks about things you have no control over or straight lies. I’ve learned to just keep your head up and keep going forward. You can’t look back because you will then get lost.
I’ve learned that everyone is not your friend and doesn’t want to see you move forward. They either want you to stay where you are or to go back backwards. That is why my group of confidants is small. They listen to me when I need a sounding board and they keep it real. I have the best friends in the world.

What i want the world to know is that I’m a servant. I’ve been blessed by others in my life and I want to continue that blessing forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would head to the coast. We all like the water. Rent a house and just sit around cook, sleep and talk. Just good old fashion girl time.. In the 5 of us that travels together one is a vegan which means we cook a lot when we are together. During a long tip we just make sure we pour into one another.

I think our most memorable time was when we were in Amsterdam riding bikes in the rain. Two of the five fell off their bikes for no reason and we all just stood in the rain laughing. We are also history buff and love art so going to the different galleries and then on a whim deciding to go to Paris for a couple of days to walk around. One of the best trips because nothing was really planned.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost to God. Without him keeping me safe and guiding my steps I would not be here today. My family that is always praying for me and loving me. Another is a group of women that have had my back for decades and held me accountable for my actions; Tomeka, Alma, Angela, Berna, Kuye, Trevina, Gracy, Stefanie and Monica. Finally my office. They do a wonderful job in making sure everything runs smoothly with very little issues. We have ben through some trying times but they have come through like champs.
