We had the good fortune of connecting with Yakubu Izuagbe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yakubu, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The idea for Unlmtd Studio came from seeing a gap in Atlanta’s creative community. As a music producer, DJ, photographer, filmmaker, and creative entrepreneur, I was constantly searching for inspiring spaces where my art, music, and creative work could come to life. Many local studios lacked the flexibility I look for in a creative space. So I decided to open my own.

I wanted it to be more than just a photo studio—I wanted it to be a creative hub where photographers, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, influencers, podcasters, musicians, artists and small businesses could create high-quality content in a professional environment. The concept truly is Unlmtd, we offer hourly studio rental, in-house photography and video production services, event space rental and production equipment rental.

Located on Atlanta’s BeltLine, Unlmtd Studio was designed to be a versatile space for photography, video production, brand shoots, product photography, podcasts, social media content creation, and creative collaborations. My vision was to create a studio that feels inspiring, accessible, and community-driven while helping creatives and businesses elevate their visual presence.

Starting my own business was also about creating opportunities for artists. Atlanta is one of the fastest-growing creative and entrepreneurial cities in the country, and I wanted Unlmtd Studio to become a place where ideas are developed, brands are built, and creative projects can grow. Every decision we’ve made—from the variety of our photography sets to ensuring that all of our gear is top tier — has been in an effort to provide our clients create professional content that stands out.

Today, seeing photographers, filmmakers, artists, and local Atlanta businesses use our space to launch projects, build brands, and tell their stories reminds me why I started Unlmtd Studio in the first place.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Art has always been at the center of everything I’ve done. My creative journey started long before Unlmtd Studio as a music producer and DJ. I’ve spent years working across multiple creative industries, including photography, music, visual art, and storytelling. Ive learned how powerful imagery and creative expression is a key component in shaping culture, building brands, and connecting people.

What sets my work apart is that I don’t see photography as simply taking pictures—I see it as creating experiences and preserving moments that have meaning. Whether I’m photographing a brand campaign, producing content for a business, documenting Atlanta’s culture, or creating fine art projects, I’m always looking for ways to tell a deeper story.

Professionally, my path has been anything but linear. I’ve worked in music, technology, entrepreneurship, photography, and creative production. Along the way, I’ve experienced successes, setbacks, failed projects, reinventions, and countless lessons. Building a creative business isn’t easy. There are moments when you’re investing time, energy, and resources into a vision that only you can see. The biggest challenge has always been learning how to stay committed during the slow seasons and trusting the process when results aren’t immediate.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that creativity and entrepreneurship require the same mindset: consistency. Talent may open doors, but persistence keeps them open. Every challenge I’ve faced has taught me something valuable about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of continuing to evolve.

I’m especially proud of building Unlmtd Studio into a creative space that serves Atlanta’s growing community of photographers, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, artists, and content creators. Located on the BeltLine, the studio has become more than just a place to shoot photos—it’s a place where ideas are developed, brands are launched, collaborations happen, and stories are brought to life.

What I want people to know about me and my brand is that we’re driven by possibility. The name “Unlmtd” comes from the belief that creativity has no limits. Whether it’s through music, photography, film, design, or community building, my goal is to inspire people to think bigger, create fearlessly, and pursue ideas that might seem impossible at first.

Atlanta has always been a city of creators, innovators, and culture-shapers, and I’m proud that Unlmtd Studio contributes to that legacy by providing a space where creativity thrives and where artists, entrepreneurs, and storytellers can bring their visions to life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
