We had the good fortune of connecting with Jack Mullikin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jack, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the most important factor, and biggest factor, in my success for my business is 100% my reliance on Jesus, and also my unique creative perspective for how I get certain shots or approach shoots that maybe aren’t fully ideal or perfectly aligned, as you could say. My relationship with Jesus Christ has helped me put others before myself in every business scenario I enter. I always try to approach every client with humility and kindness, to, of course, show them the love of Christ, but also to make that the embodiment of my clients’ experiences with me. I always want my clients to leave an interaction with me feeling like they are a better person because of it. Now, the other factor is definitely a gift that God has given me. I have always seen things differently from others, whether that’s just a different perspective, or even just a whole new reality, but my creative perspective is one of the leading factors in the success of my business

What should our readers know about your business?
Getting to where my business is today was not easy at all. It started with cold-calling real estate brokerages/firms and just pitching myself to them. I actually never got a client from cold calling, even though I probably called around 300 people. I got my business from Instagram and just organic searches to my website. From those clients, I asked for referrals to others in the business, and it just grew from there. I have learned that no matter what, never give up, even if it feels like you are making zero progress, and maybe you are, but that zero progress is going to teach you a lesson that you may need in a few years. So never give up and keep it pushing, no matter how hard it gets. I want the world to know that Mullikin Media will always have the client in mind first, before me, before money, before anything. I always want to serve my clients in the best way possible. I want my business to embody the character of Christ.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Suwanee town center is obviously a given, so many great restaurants there, and a cool spot to hang out with people. A new Asian fusion restaurant just came out near our I-85 exit called Kitchen Master, and it is absolute gold, so I would obviously take them there sometime. Another great spot for food is Tequila Mamas. They have some of my favorite Mexican food, and I love the vibe there. If you want some more authentic street tacos, then I would go for Betos Tacos. They have some of my favorite tacos I have ever had, and they always come out within 5 minutes of you ordering, no matter how busy they are. Now, for fun activities, my first choice would be to take them to Adrenaline Climbing. I love climbing, and this spot is a great gym with a really good setting. If they want a little bit more cardio, I would probably take them to Haw Creek. They have great mountain bike trails, and it is super local.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out my parents, because honestly, without them, I wouldn’t even be close to where I am now. My parents have helped me drastically in chasing my dreams and providing me with the resources to do so. They have always pushed me to be a better person and to go out of my way to improve myself and others, and I don’t think I could’ve done any of this without their help. Not only have they helped push me mentally to actually go out and pursue what I wanted to do, but they were right there alongside me for my first-ever shoot and other shoots that I have done along the way. My parents are my biggest champions, and I wouldn’t change a single thing. I am so incredibly grateful for them.
