Meet Tejai Moore: Singer, Songwriter, Record Producer, and Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tejai Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tejai, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For me, it was about others. In the journey of pursuing my career thus far there’s been a lot of experiences that no one could ever learn without being hands-on or going through it. Many of the experiences were not “easy” and some were even discouraging at times. I kept Faith in God and continued forward because it is my Purpose; to make a difference in this world via my calling and my gifts with music. And because of that Faith, I have overcome so much. So, I started my company to inspire, help, truly assist in the careers of those who have the talent, have the drive, but who needs guidance in this industry and even the world, period. This is why Moore Muzik, LLC was born. We assist with Faith just as much as we do with progress musically.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is that for me winning is overcoming my hardships in life, my battles; NOT beating others. My accomplishments has nothing to do with me feeling nor thinking I am more than anyone else as I practice humility. I got where I am today by believing even when others didn’t. It was far from easy but with God nothing is impossible. Literally, nothing is impossible. I want the world to know that my brand and my story would be nothing without Him. You can have all the talent in the world, have all the body in the world, be so “fine”, be so fit, have the most money, or best car but God doesn’t Bless us because of what we have, but what we withhold. This is the source of my story.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’re talking about pre-COVID right? Before all of this craziness in the world … I would definitely say we had to hit Lenox Square Mall. We would have to go to a few of the brunch spots here in the city. It’s so crazy because some of the lesser known spots be the ones that are super lit, lol. We’d have to go out in the nightlife to a few different clubs and pull up on a few of our DJ potnas, but more-so the lounges. I’m a lounge type of guy and my broz are the same. We don’t like to be or have to be where “everyone” is. Give us a few drinks, some music, some space to hit our lil 2-step, and we viben.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God deserves ALL of the recognition in my story. I am reminded daily and also remind myself daily that I literally don’t know where I would be without Him. My life, story, accomplishments are all God through* me. It would be a big lie to say anything or anyone else deserves that recognition in the story of my life.
