Meet Jamaal Ghauri

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamaal Ghauri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamaal, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I originally came up with the idea to start Titan Asset Management because of my personal experience with investment firms. For years and years I would watch them invest my money with mediocre results, often not even outperforming the S&P 500. I finally decided to fix this problem and create my own hedge fund. Now I’m able to focus on not only outperforming the market for myself, but also for all of the clients that we’ve worked with over the years.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Titan Asset Management, is a high growth hedge fund focused on outperforming traditional asset classes. What separates us from the rest is our ability to make our clients extraordinary amounts of money. While traditional firms average 7%-12%, we have an average annual return of 71%. To get where we are today, it involved tons of hard work, dedication, and late nights. One of the most important lessons I learned along the way was that every successful business needs to be efficiently systemized in order to scale their operations. One thing I would like both myself and my business to be remembered for is our journey towards excellence, and our focus on being the absolute best at what we do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s lots of fun things to do in the area. If a friend were to visit, I would personally make sure that no matter what we did, we took a visit to the aquarium. Seeing the aquatic life in such an environment is one of my favorite attractions that I believe everyone should see at least once in their life. I would also suggest some of the many great restaurants in the city for dinner. There’s lots of fun things to do and good places to eat, and it’s a whole entire experience being surrounded with the vibrant energy that Atlanta is known for.

I would like to give a huge shoutout to my brother and my partners for starting this business with me from day one. They never once doubted me, and the unconditional support I’ve received along the way is the sole reason for my success.
