We had the good fortune of connecting with Terah Da Barber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew it was either fight or flight. I wanted to be a great barber and I wasn’t going to sleep until I was successful and respected by my peers.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With 14 years in the barber industry, I’ve built a name and brand that reflects my passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence. What sets me apart is my ability to not only deliver precision cuts but also create an experience that keeps my clients coming back. I take pride in the relationships I’ve built and the trust my clients have in me. My journey wasn’t easy—I had to grind, stay consistent, and push through the challenges of building a successful clientele. There were times when business was slow, but I stayed focused, continued to perfect my craft, and invested in my growth. I learned that patience, perseverance, and staying true to your vision are key to success. Now, I use my platform to educate and inspire other barbers, helping them take control of their careers. My brand is about more than just cutting hair—it’s about elevating the industry, mentoring others, and showing that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Whenever I have family in town were going to check out the belt line and walk around Pond City Market. It’s always a vibe there and you never know who you’re going to run into that’s famous. I’m from NYC and there is a pizza place called Jeans that as close to a New York slice as you going to get. I’m a foodie so I like to eat.. we can do Bar tacos for a quick snack on a chill day the food is always great and the price is even better. For some Jamaica food we can hit Spice House in lithonia and for some chicken and waffles we gotta go to Nouveaau in Jonesboro.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my amazing Wife Sherece and my two sons Ethan and Mason. Without them none of this would be possible. They are the reasons why I wake up everyday and go harder than yesterday. I am Terah Da Barber, Da Husband, Da Father.
