We had the good fortune of connecting with Walker Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi walker, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
It helps prevent wearable vintage secondhand clothing and collectables from being added to the already-overflowing landfills and clogging our planet even more! It also helps people keep their wardrobe style and decoration unique and one of a kind!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m thankful that I get to spend some of my time sourcing items and saving them from being thrown away into the landfills. It took me a while to learn what people love the most when it comes to secondhand/vintage clothing and collectables – people really love classic vintage clothes with creative designs like puff prints and physical media (both vintage and modern). The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is having fun with the trial and error of having a business and learning what works and what doesn’t, what sells and what sits. With my story and what my business is all about, I want people to know that whatever is planted in your mind, like starting a business without any prior experience and only passion, to just do it without any hesitation or permission from others. Owning a business was NEVER on my bingo card but here I am being all professional and whatnot! I also want people to know that wearing and collecting anything secondhand and vintage is fun and unique, it adds character unlike buying anything new. It also helps our planet.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to different markets full of small businesses and shop local, eat yummy greasy food at the Varsity, walk around Piedmont Park, go to a collegiate or professional sports game and go see a movie at the iconic Plaza Theatre!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The event company GVG Events for continuing to book me for their amazing events and always giving me a chance to sell vintage to the people in Atlanta!
