We had the good fortune of connecting with Marisa Levy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marisa, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work-life balance is something you get better at over time. When you first start an endeavor, it’s natural to pour everything into it—you wake up thinking about it, eager to keep the momentum going, and sometimes, it feels like you don’t want to stop. The hustle becomes second nature.

But as a mom of two and a wife, I’ve learned how important balance is. Without it, you risk resentment—either toward your work because you feel stretched too thin, or toward the responsibilities that pull you away from it. It’s easy to see obligations as burdens when you’re overwhelmed, rather than appreciating the beauty in having a full life.

I’ve come to understand that success isn’t just about having a thriving career; it’s about having people to share it with. What happens if, one year, business slows down? Or if, on the other hand, you hit your financial goals but realize you’ve neglected the people who matter most? The fulfillment we seek doesn’t just come from professional success—it comes from balance.

That’s why I’ve learned to create structure in my weeks, ensuring that everything has its place. With designated time for work, family, and personal moments, I can be fully present in each area of my life without feeling pulled in a million directions. For me, balance isn’t just about managing time—it’s about making space for what truly matters.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart as a realtor is my background in social work. I have a master’s degree in social work, which has given me a deep understanding of people, strong communication skills, and the ability to anticipate concerns before they even arise. I take the time to truly understand my clients, to build rapport, and to establish trust. Before anything else, I want my clients to feel confident that I am advocating for them in this real estate transaction. To me, it’s not just about buying or selling a house—it’s about helping families find a home they love, one they can afford, and one that truly fits their needs. I make it a priority to connect the dots, ensuring my clients get the best value for their investment while making decisions that set them up for long-term success.

That said, real estate is not an easy road. If anyone tells you it is, they’re not being honest. Even with the right skills, you have to know how to apply them, stay continuously educated, and always stay on top of the market. The industry is constantly evolving, and to be great at what you do, you have to evolve with it.

I want the world to know that I am here, open for business, and excited to now be practicing real estate in Georgia. I love working with people, hearing their stories, and understanding the reasons behind their buying or selling decisions. I take my role as an advocate seriously—I will never throw a client into a situation blindly or prioritize a transaction over their best interest. My conscience simply won’t allow that. For me, it’s not just business; it’s about people, relationships, and making sure my clients feel empowered and confident in one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
ooo. im already excited!
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d make sure we had the best time soaking in everything the area has to offer—good food, great vibes, and plenty of memorable experiences.

We’d kick things off with a hike up Stone Mountain. There’s nothing like being outdoors, surrounded by nature, and taking in those breathtaking views from the top. After the hike, we’d set up a little lakeside picnic—just us, some sushi, a bottle of red wine, and endless girl talk.

Throughout the week, we’d hop around to different restaurants, trying a variety of cuisines because what’s a trip without indulging in amazing food? One night, we’d find a spot where we can eat and dance—because nothing beats letting loose with your best friend, good music, and a cocktail (or two) in hand.

To mix things up, we’d visit a museum for a dose of art and culture, adding a little creative inspiration to the trip. And of course, there would be plenty of time dedicated to catching up—whether over drinks at a cozy lounge, a rooftop with a view, or just strolling through the city, laughing and reminiscing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate this shout-out to my family—most importantly, my husband and two kids. They are my daily motivation, the reason I strive for success, and the driving force behind my ambition. Everything I do is with them in mind—building something meaningful to pass down, creating a lifestyle that gives them the life they deserve, and showing them firsthand that hard work and dedication can take you far. More than anything, I want them to see me at my best—pursuing my passions, feeling fulfilled, and proving that chasing your dreams is always worth it.

I also want to give a special shout-out to my broker, who has been a constant source of support and encouragement throughout my journey. They’ve believed in me even in moments when I’ve doubted myself, and having that kind of unwavering support in my corner has meant everything.

These are the people who inspire me, lift me up, and keep me going, and I’m incredibly grateful for them.
