Hi Crystal, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Outsiders may not realize the sheer amount of continuing education required in the skincare and wellness industry. The field constantly evolves, introducing new treatments, products, and technologies. Staying current on industry innovations, attending conferences, and obtaining certifications are all necessary to provide the best care to clients. It’s not just about mastering techniques. It’s about staying informed and continuously improving to meet the industry’s ever-changing needs.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Fancy Wax & Body Wraps, my mission is to provide more than just a spa experience. I aim to create a sanctuary of personalized care where each client feels valued, understood, and truly seen. What sets me apart is my commitment to offering customized services that are tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Whether it’s a rejuvenating facial, expert waxing, relaxing body wrap, effective anti-aging or acne treatments. Every treatment is crafted to enhance natural beauty while promoting holistic wellness.

We offer a full range of waxing services, including brazilian wax, full body wax, women’s waxing, men’s waxing, teenager waxing, and much more. Ensuring that every client’s needs are met with the utmost care and expertise.

In addition to our spa services, I am incredibly proud to offer my vegan skincare line, which includes high-quality, handmade products designed specifically for sensitive skin. From cleansers, exfoliants, serums, and moisturizers. Each product is crafted with love and care, ensuring that they are not only effective but also cruelty-free and free from parabens, phthalates, and gluten. My vegan skincare line aligns with my core values of providing clean, safe, and effective treatments that nurture the skin without compromising on quality or integrity.

What I’m most proud of is the deep relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years. Their trust and loyalty are the foundation of my business. Each client’s journey is important to me, and knowing that I’ve made a positive impact in their lives, whether by addressing skin concerns, boosting confidence, or simply providing a space for relaxation is incredibly fulfilling.

The road to where I am today has been anything but easy. Starting out was full of challenges like: balancing the technical side of skincare with the logistics of running a business, building a client base from scratch. The pandemic tested my resilience, but it also taught me to be adaptable and resourceful. I leaned into my passion for skincare and self-care, redefined my services, and stayed connected to my community, ultimately emerging stronger.

Through it all, I’ve learned the power of patience and the importance of consistency. Growth doesn’t happen overnight, and challenges are just opportunities for improvement. I’ve also realized that success comes not just from providing great services, but from genuinely caring for each client’s journey.

What I want the world to know about Fancy Wax & Body Wraps Day Spa is that we are more than just a place for skincare. We’re a community dedicated to empowering people to embrace their beauty and confidence, both inside and out. Every treatment we provide is rooted in my commitment to exceptional, personalized care and to making a positive difference in the lives of my clients. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend visited, we’d make the most of Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Chattanooga with a weekend of relaxation, great food, and unforgettable experiences. We’d start with breakfast at The Flying Biscuit Café, followed by a peaceful stroll through Piedmont Park. For lunch, we’d enjoy fresh, vegan dishes at Herban Fix before heading to Fancy Wax & Body Wraps Day Spa for a pampering spa experience. We’d indulge in a rejuvenating facial, a detoxifying body wrap, and a luxurious Brazilian wax. The spa’s serene atmosphere would make it the perfect retreat to relax and unwind, leaving us refreshed and glowing.

Next, we’d take a quick trip to Alpharetta to enjoy breakfast at Viva La Vegan and shop at Avalon. We’d grab delicious Thai food at Siam Square for lunch and cap the day with a farm-to-table dinner at The Brasserie at Le Meridien.

The trip would wrap up in Chattanooga with a visit to The Tennessee Aquarium and lunch at The Blue Plate. For our final evening, we’d enjoy fresh seafood and breathtaking views at The Boathouse Rotisserie & Raw Bar, followed by a serene walk along the Tennessee Riverwalk.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I thank God first and foremost for His guidance and blessings in my life. I want to dedicate my shoutout to my dad, mom, and grandmother, who have all been instrumental in shaping who I am today. My dad taught me the value of hard work, integrity, and commitment to my goals. My mom showed me the power of balancing a successful career and entrepreneurship of other businesses, being driven, believing in myself, and demonstrating resilience in facing challenges. My grandmother introduced me to skincare and wellness at a young age, sparking my passion for the industry and nurturing my desire to help others feel their best.

I also want to recognize my incredible clients, whose trust and loyalty have been the driving force behind my success. Their support motivates me to improve and continually provide the best possible care. They inspire me to keep learning, growing, and offering exceptional service daily.

Lastly, I am deeply grateful for the mentors, industry professionals, and my professional network. The guidance, knowledge, and expertise I’ve gained from them have been invaluable in helping me stay on top of new trends, innovations, and best practices.
