We had the good fortune of connecting with Andre Martineau and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andre, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I would have to say that my two biggest thoughts were that I really needed to take a chance on myself, Honestly confidience has in some was held me back ensuring to provide for my family and taking safe roads over trusting what God, gifted me to be able to do. And 2nd was my desire to create, I love different forms and genre of art, my Mom and Dad were very gifted and creative people in their own rights, so that stirs in me constantly so being able to create in my own ways has been a desire of mine I would say since high school.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an Voice Artist and Audio Producer I bring stories and emotions through Voice and Audio, duhhh i’m just messing, but in voice over its much like acting…well it is acting every script is a different person or emotion from audio stories I have done to, the various youtube content, and for the audio production well that is like movie making for creating this sense of excitement and engagement with anyone listen to a curated podcast intro or laying out audio for an audio novel. Making certain sounds placed just right “HIT YOU”

Honestly getting to where I am was fairly easy in the sense that I really need to just say yes to trying, in a lot of way my work spoke for itself. I just needed the confidence to go after it. A lot of my challenges came from not learning how to scale so I ended up working harder to get the financial goals I was after as well as learning how to say no. Not every project/client is worth your time or frustration, I have found that 2 or 3 clients out of every 50 – 100 its ok to say no, “ITS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD”.

As for my me and my brand. I want people to know that i’m genuinely here to help them, for it’s not about being the top talent, truthful i’m more in the artist sense of wanting to put out quality work, sure doing of 2000 different projects is great but it means nothing if its not quality. In all my projects my thoughts are centered around Connecting and Engaging.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Mannnnnnnn!!!!!!

Well to be honest to hone this down is difficult I lived just North of Atl so there is a lot, so it would really depend on them but.

Definitely to eat I would have to hit up a few choice spots in the city(atlanta) way to many to name so much good food. Depending on the season would have to hit up a professional game, No not all our teams are great, but Atlanta sports is such a vibe. Really so much to do from super dope spots like Ponce and Little 5 Points, there is always a convention going down, plus a lot of rich historical sites so probably a taste of everything and of course scaling Stone Mountain

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Mannnnnn what a question, I would say there are a couple I have to thank God, I mean the way He works in orchestrating opportunity and opening doors is just astounding(so much to tell) but He is always there regardless. My wife who stays constantly supporting me. I remember her taking a day off work to surpirse help me get my studio put together that meant so much. And honestly I could say alot about the my friends and family who support me in all these things. But I would say Mike Johnson a name not many would know but he is the ones who open the door to a young hard headed Andre an taught no only the magic of his trade in Voice Over and Audio Production, but also so many things of value in life, He gave me experiences in radio and production, I dont think I would have gotten ANYWHERE ELSE, and its because of him I can feed my family, be creative, and find real contentment in what I do for a living!
