We had the good fortune of connecting with Ke’Yanna Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ke’Yanna, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is consistency. I have learned at the very beginning of stepping into entrepreneurship, that no matter how hard the challenge is, it is important to keep going everyday. Once I overcome the challenge I look up and see that the consistency I was putting in over time pay off in ways that I could never imagined, in a good way of course. The level up that I was desiring is eventually birthed with consistency.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started off by selling stylish eyewear an online by marketing my business on instagram. I would always make sure my makeup and hair was done, and wore a stylish outfit when I would post my content on instagram to promote my business. It was fairly easy starting off because I had a big support system, through the years it became a bit more challenging and the more I grew the smaller my support system was so I was stuck doing a lot alone because I refused to give up. I overcome challenges by going to networking events to network with women like me. I loved going to events where women would speak on panels and telling their story, it made me feel less alone and I felt comfort knowing that I am on the right path and the challenges I was facing was fairly normal for a woman like me. I learned to don’t be afraid to pivot and to be ready to pivot at any time. I want to the world to know that they should trust the process and never compare yourself, comparison is the thief to all joy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot in the city has to be the Buckhead area, they have a lot of amazing restaurants, and it is such a vibe. Some of my favorite places are the The Hive, The Boiler, I love their oysters, and I also love Dantanna’s it’s right by the Lenox Mall, literally walking distance. I like to go there after a long day of shopping at the Lenox Square Mall. Sometimes I like to switch up the vibe and eat and shop at Buckhead Village, I love “The Southern Gentleman” for brunch, their espresso martini’s are 10/10! But I will say my favorite brunch spot right now is Breakfast ATL it’s in Duluth, GA.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate shoutout to God, Them women Entrepreneurs in Atlanta that helped guide me on my journey, Topicals Inisders Community, and My Niece, My Granny Betty, My Cousin Antranette.
