We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler René and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is a key factor in success in my opinion. I believe the quote says quotation without any risk there is no reward. And quotation and I believe this quote means that without taking risk whether that be in business personally financially you will not see the fulfillment of, your goal or dream in its entirety.
In my life, I have learned that risk have ultimately been the catapulting factor in my business flourishing. When I first became an entrepreneur, I was afraid to fail. Once I stopped being afraid to fail and jumped headfirst into my industry, I then begin to see all that, I had to offer the world and all that the world had to offer to me. I have always looked at it as a millionaire was not always a millionaire, but someone who is broke may forever be broke because a millionaire is not afraid to take risk because they has seen the reward that it will bring.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My artistry has developed exponentially over the years in many different areas. As I reminisce on how far I have come in this journey, I am most proud about the person I have become. I know that is such a cliché answer, but it is truly a blessing to see how much I have grown over the years, whether that be with singing or in my entrepreneurial journey. Some may ask was it easy, and the short answer to that is no, but I do believe that nothing worth something comes easy. There is always a journey attached to a blessing. I consistently pray and sought out wise council so that I wouldn’t lose myself on this journey or give up on my dream/goals. Although this is true, you do receive many lessons along the way.
The main lesson that I have acquired while being on this journey is simple bet on yourself. There are so many obstacles and trials we face in life that can cause you to feel like you are not good enough, but God has a purpose for us all, and I believe that if you bet on yourself, you can never lose.
As a self made entrepreneur and singer, I want to leave you with my life’s motto, and it is a quote, said by the amazing and virtuous Maya Angelo, and it states “you may encounter many defeats, but you must never be defeated.“ With my training service, wastenotime fitness club, and my nutrition coaching and meal prep company, PREPPED, this quote has kept me going because although I may encounter many obstacles, I know that I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta have some amazing hidden gems around the city where that be for eating or for fun or even for entertainment. If my best friend were to come into town, let’s say on a Sunday, here is how it would play out.
Sunday is for church and brunch so after church service at the harvest Tabernacle Church in Latonia, Georgia, me and the Bestie would go to either breakfast at Barney’s or toast un Lennix for a classy upscale brunch. Monday would follow and on Monday I would take my best friend to, the beltline and we would visit little shops and maybe an eatery before heading to get a massage at the 4 seasons hotel. Tuesday would be a rest day because a pretty girl needs her beauty sleep so we would stay in and order to go and enjoy each other’s company. Wednesday is mid week, so we would travel to the best wing spot in ATL American deli grab wings to go And that night we would to Ponce City Market for a midweek, wine and dine and 9 mile station. Thursday, we would hit up the pink pole room for either a pole class or heel class that night and then on Friday we would take it to the streets of Buckhead and do some barhopping after we shop at Phipps. Saturday to end the week, we would go to effect fitness to burn off some of those calories, and then that night, we would hit up Marcus bar and Grill for a cute and classy dinner to end the week. Can you We love food?
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Since I was young, I have always had an ambition to hustle and grind to get to where I want to be. That is something my parents had instilled in me at the age of adolescence, but the organization that has pushed me to move forward and doing what I am truly passionate about is LovelyBodies Atlanta, owned by IamtheKingofFitness. He has played a significant role in why I became a training and nutrition coach.
In terms of singing and songwriting, that has been a part of me since I was a little girl. So I do have to give credit to my Home church and then also again my parents for the grueling hours of singing lessons, investing in my talent, and just believing in me.
