We had the good fortune of connecting with Isamar Elena Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isamar, what principle do you value most?
As a Christian, I deeply value faith, trusting in God’s plan and the salvation through Jesus Christ. Love is paramount, guiding me to show kindness and compassion to others. Humility, going my best to try to follow Jesus’ example, and integrity, are essential. Forgiveness and reconciliation are crucial, as is serving those in need with my resources. I maintain hope in God’s promises and find joy in my relationship with Him, knowing that it’s not a linear walk and it’s okay to not be perfect. Justice and advocating for fairness are important, as is striving for peace and being a advocate in my community.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our Oikos small group is a close-knit community of believers dedicated to growing in faith and supporting one another. What sets us apart is our deep commitment to authenticity and vulnerability, creating a space where everyone feels safe to share their joys and struggles. We are most proud of the genuine connections we’ve built and the way we continually uplift each other, both spiritually and personally.

Professionally, I have journeyed through various roles that have honed my skills and deepened my understanding of leadership and service. It has been a path of learning and growth, marked by significant milestones and invaluable experiences. Along the way, I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and the power of a supportive community. These lessons have shaped my approach to both my career and my involvement in our small group.

Our charity organization, which emerged from the passion and dedication of our small group, focuses on addressing pressing community needs with compassion and integrity. We strive to make a tangible difference through various outreach programs and initiatives that reflect Christ’s love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has so much to amazing spots that I don’t think I could even choose between so many places. There’s so much art galleries, historic sites, national parks, and food markets. Atlanta is full of Exciting People: Local artists, musicians, chefs, and cultural guides who offer unique insights and stories. I would just say as long as you’re in the city you’ll find something to do. I do recommend “victory midtown church, grace midtown church and victory norcross! For volunteering I recommend “the grocery spot” and anything on “hands on Atlanta”!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of my friends for their dedication and commitment to our small group. Their unwavering faith, kindness, and support have been instrumental in creating a strong and nurturing community of Christian believers. Through our prayers, encouragement, and willingness to share the vulnerable part of our lives and spiritual journeys, we have grown closer to God and to one another. Their contributions, whether through leading discussions, offering insights, or simply being present, have made our group a source of strength and inspiration. Thank you to my Oikos family for being such an integral part of this journey and for helping us build a foundation rooted in Christ’s love and grace.
