We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronnie S. Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ronnie S., how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business during a pivotal moment in my life, following a difficult breakup that left me feeling shattered. During this challenging period, I realized I needed to focus on self-healing and strive for optimal health and wellness. Unsure of where to turn for help, I discovered that true healing starts from within.

This insight led me to create Self Healers Yoga, a practice centered on personal accountability for one’s own life, healing, health, and wellness. It’s about digging deep to uncover our true Higher Self, understanding that our ultimate savior lies within us, not outside. This profound awareness inspired me to establish my business, aiming to empower individuals on their journey to self-discovery and holistic well-being.

What should our readers know about your business?
Self Healers Yoga is a holistic wellness practice that transcends the physical aspect of yoga, offering a comprehensive approach to mind, body, and spirit alignment. We focus on empowering individuals, particularly women of color, to embark on their own journeys of self-healing and personal growth. Our offerings include yoga, sound healing, meditation, breathwork, and wellness coaching, all designed to nurture and support our clients in their quest for optimal health and well-being.

What sets Self Healers Yoga apart is our deep commitment to creating a holistic, inclusive, and empowering space for healing. We integrate ancient African wisdom and practices into our offerings, providing a unique cultural connection and sense of unity. Our approach is not just about physical exercise but about fostering a lifestyle that embraces self-discovery, resilience, and inner peace. Our signature programs, such as Sacred Sound Meditation, Flowing in the Spirit, and “Return to Wholeness,” reflect our dedication to providing transformative experiences that renew and restore balance.

I am most proud of the community we have built and the transformative journeys our clients have experienced. It is incredibly rewarding to see individuals reclaim their health and wellness, discovering their inner strength and wisdom. I am excited about the continued growth and the opportunity to reach more people, providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive.

The journey to where we are today has not been easy, but it has been incredibly fulfilling. Building Self Healers Yoga required perseverance, resilience, and a deep belief in our mission. One of the biggest challenges was establishing a clear brand identity and connecting with our target audience. However, through consistent effort, learning, and adapting, we have managed to create a brand that resonates with our community.

Overcoming challenges involved a lot of self-reflection, seeking guidance, and utilizing available resources. One pivotal moment was integrating AI tools into our business strategy, which helped clarify our unique selling propositions, understand our target audience better, and refine our competitive positioning. Additionally, staying true to our core values and mission provided a strong foundation to navigate through obstacles.

One key lesson I’ve learned is the importance of authenticity and staying true to your vision. It’s crucial to build a brand that genuinely reflects your values and mission. Another lesson is the power of community and support—surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who uplift and inspire you. Lastly, embracing change and being adaptable has been essential in responding to the dynamic nature of running a business.

I want the world to know that Self Healers Yoga is a sanctuary for those seeking holistic wellness and self-discovery. Our story is one of resilience, passion, and a deep commitment to healing and empowering others. We believe in the power of self-healing and the transformative potential of yoga, mindfulness, and ancient wisdom. Our mission is to hold sacred space for individuals to heal, thrive, and transform, creating a world where everyone can live their fullest, most harmonious lives.
