Hi March, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After working 25 years in the industry, I saw that there was a need in the market for more customized landscape and horticultural services.

What should our readers know about your business?
RMG Landscape Solutions is different from other companies because our philosophy is rooted in “Quality Workmanship, Excellent Service, and Long Term Relationships”. Quality Workmanship comes from education and experience. I have a Bachelors in Horticulture and am also an ISA certified Arborist. My eduction has been a tremendous part of my success. Excellent Service is what all customers want. We strive to be responsive and go above and beyond with our customers. Long Term Relationships are important because we are not in it for the short term. We want to be our clients landscape partner for life..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’ve lived in Decatur for over 20 years. I still love the downtown scene and all of the great bars and restaurants. Avondale Estates has a great scene with a lot of great brewpubs. Also, I love to bass fish so I would definitely be taking them on my boat to Lake Lanier!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many! My wife and family have been extremely supportive. My good friend Todd Vickery from Buckhead Gardening Group always pushed me in the direction of business ownership and assisted me in the first few months of building the business. My friends and first few clients who gave me so many good reviews and recommendations (and continue to do so). Also, the great and talented Landscape Architects that design the landscapes that we install.
