We had the good fortune of connecting with Shawn Trapp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shawn, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“The Comeback is great than the setback” My life story when something is a setback always remind myself the comeback will be greater.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
🌟 Shawn Trapp, here from Good Shepherd Ministries, reporting in! 🏡 For the past nine years, we’ve been on a mission to bring hope and healing to the Eastside of Dayton, Ohio. Starting with just two recovery houses, we’ve expanded to seven, providing a safe haven for 30 individuals on their journey to recovery from addiction.

But wait, there’s more! 🛠️ Alongside our recovery programs, we’re also empowering our community through micro-businesses like grass cutting, carpentry, and our thrift store. Every dime earned goes right back into our ministry, fueling our mission to make a positive impact.

And let’s talk service! 🌿 We’re out there, sleeves rolled up, tackling community cleanups year-round. Last year alone, we cleared a whopping 13 tons of trash, including 3 tons of tires! Plus, we’re not just about numbers; we’re about saving lives every single day. Amidst the highs and lows, we’ve maintained an incredible 70% success rate for our clients.

So here’s to resilience, to transformation, and to the power of community. Together, we’re making miracles happen, one life at a time. 💪 #GoodShepherdMinistries #RecoveryJourney #CommunityImpact
