We had the good fortune of connecting with Chrystal Williams and Bendu Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrystal and Bendu, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We have been working throughout the hospital for over 10 years. When Covid hit it was mentally and physically draining. When patients were being discharged we were not able to probably educate them because of time restraints and staff shortages. With this being said we were not able to educate patients like we would have wanted to.
We had a numerous amount of patients that we cared for at one time and a lot of the times we were with the patients when they were taking their last breath. We decided to come up with a service that provides our community with health promotion, illness prevention from a holistic approach. We also wanted men and women to be able to feel beautiful and function and their highest potential. We flew back and forth almost weekly to find the perfect spot which ended up being in Scottdale, Ga. Now we are known to be the first black and nurse owned med spa here.
What should our readers know about your business?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If we were taking out our best friends in Atlanta, the first stop would definitely be Starbucks to get the day started with a cold ice drink. We would then take them to Vital Aesthetics Med Spa for I.V hydration and relaxation. After that we would go to one of our favorite restaurants which would be Pappadeux to indulge in seafood which is our favorite. After that we would have evening cocktails and enjoy Piedmont Park.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
