We had the good fortune of connecting with Briana Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Briana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Upon graduating from high school, I embarked on my professional journey as a childcare provider. Spanning from Connecticut to Atlanta, I diligently catered to the needs of numerous families. Regrettably, my early career in childcare was marred by exploitation. I endured excessive workloads, inadequate compensation, delayed payments, disrespectful treatment, unanticipated duties beyond the scope of our initial agreements, and various other challenges.
Towards the latter part of 2018 and into early 2019, I began contemplating strategies to prevent such exploitation, not only for myself but for fellow childcare providers as well. While my initial inclination was to establish an agency, a pivotal moment of clarity redirected my path. I distinctly recall a profound moment where I felt compelled by a higher calling, recognizing the need to assist individuals in securing employment opportunities.
Drawing from my innate inclination to support others, coupled with a knack for refining resumes and connecting individuals with job prospects, the concept of Your Nanny Resume crystallized. Encountering generous support from both acquaintances and strangers, who aided in the development of my website and provided initial investments, Your Nanny Resume swiftly gained traction.
Since its inception, Your Nanny Resume has consistently delivered success, empowering individuals in their pursuit of fulfilling employment opportunities.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a professional resume writer and career coach, my focus primarily revolves around assisting individuals within the childcare sector, while also extending my services to anyone in need of guidance. Anticipation for the future trajectory of my career fills me with enthusiasm.
I am currently developing in-person classes and training programs tailored for childcare agencies, aimed at imparting invaluable insights into resume best practices and pitfalls to avoid. These initiatives are poised to significantly enhance the quality of support I offer, and I eagerly anticipate their implementation.
My professional journey has been marked by rigorous training and unwavering dedication. Even now, I remain committed to refining my approach and addressing any challenges that arise. Operating a business demands considerable effort, particularly in areas such as marketing, yet with a steadfast commitment to ongoing education and resilience, navigating these complexities becomes manageable.
It is imperative to recognize that the job search process can be an inherently daunting experience, especially when unexpected. Having personally navigated through such challenges, I am deeply empathetic to the hurdles individuals face. I take pride in my ability to alleviate some of this burden by crafting tailored resumes designed to optimize success in securing employment opportunities.
