Meet Jeff Edrington: Co-Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Edrington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by solving inefficiencies in the real estate and title industry.  The industry has severely lagged with technological developments and therefore I set out to change these shortcomings.  Fee Favor was built for title searchers to be able to pick up new business on their terms.  Title searchers can now communicate, upload, and invoice directly from their smartphones.  Streamlining these tasks has given me incredible enjoyment.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are in the midst of an expansion across the country expanding state by state.  Working with new title searchers is keeping me busy and I am finding enjoyment from that.  I am staying busy talking with searchers and learning about their pain points and seeing how we can eradicate those for them.  Automating and collecting on behalf of a title searcher has been very appreciated from my colleagues.  I continue to have fun and stay busy learning about the intricacies and nuances of each states’ records.  With expansion comes growth and the need to hire and train new employees which also keeps me busy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visit the area I would take them to two cities. Athens, Georgia and Cleveland, Georgia. They are one hour apart. The Athens, Georgia music scene is a staple to the area. On any given night you can listen to almost any type of band you desire. It has great local venues. Cleveland, Georgia has great fly fishing and river activities. It is at the base of the Appalachian Mountains and has plenty of wineries, hiking, and great sightseeing. 

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people to credit my success to. I have many mentors that are attorneys. In the title search industry there is very little training available so you are forced to rely on mentors and people in the know to guide you through your learning and growth in the industry. I have been very blessed to have these people help me grow both professionally and personally. Kenneth Mattison, Esq., Mike Strickland, Esq., and Tim Smith, Esq. to name a few. My employees help keep me grounded and remind me that life is so much more than just work. Without them, my success would be very limited. I am blessed to be able to work with them and because they are in my life.
