Hi H. Yvonne, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
What habits do you feel helped you succeed?

Believing in prayer and believing that I can reach my goals are the building blocks for my success. I am laser focused, results oriented, and accountable for my actions. I believe in knowing my team members, believing in them, and providing them with tools for growth. We must know our numbers and I collaborate very closely with my accountant. I know that my customers matter. I know that team members matter. I am laser focused on building a successful business. I am laser focused on loving my family.

I am always reading, learning, and being around individuals/organizations that believe in entrepreneurship, giving back to our communities, and kindness,

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start out at the Ashford Dunwoody YMCA. Next, we would go to Kale Me Crazy for a Power House Smoothie
I would take them to an Atlanta Business League program to meet some amazing Black Entrepreneurs
I would show them the sports venues, National Center for Civil and Human Rights Museum, The King Center
We would go to Savannah
I love to eat at Le Colonial, Arnette’s, Grits and Eggs, Alon’s Bakery, Cafe Sunflower, C&S Seafood, and of course, The Busy Bee Cafe.
We would go to the HBCU schools in the Atlanta Univerrsity Center, GA Tech, Kennesaw, and Georgia State.
We would go to The Gathering Spot and a Leadership Atlanta Takeover event

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

My loudest shoutout goes to an extraordinary woman, my deceased mother, Mrs. Helen Worthy Bryant. My dad died when I was 8 years old, and I have four younger sisters. My mother worked day and night, making immeasurable sacrifices for the well-being and education of her children. She successfully paved the way for all five of her daughters to attend Spelman College, the school she loved. She taught us, through her actions, that we should never give us, that we should have faith in God, and that we must care for others.

I also want to give a shoutout to James Dallas of H James Dallas & Associates. He is the mentor/friend who not only recognized my talent but also actively supported my business, my growth, and my development. He provides constructive feedback that is motivating and instrumental in achieving success. James is a role model in business and in his love for his family.

I also send much thanks to the best boss ever at AT&T, Trena Brown. I collaborate with companies to build leaders like Trena because having a supportive and understanding boss can make a world of difference in the workplace.
My daughters, Dr. M’ Balia Thomas and Dr. Khadeja Johnson, are a constant source of inspiration and motivation and they keep making me want to be my best. From them I am learning the valuable lesson of self-care. We cannot grow our businesses if we do not take care of ourselves.

Books like Think and Grow Rich, Rachel Rodgers, We Should All Be Millionaires and tools like the DiSC assessment have contributed to my personal and professional growth.

I end this with a special shoutout to my grandsons who bring me so much joy and unconditional love, Miles, and Asa.
