We had the good fortune of connecting with Mìea Logan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mìea, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Being able to bring my creative ideas to life in full effect by directing them in the way I see fit, whether it’s for the storyline or character, is always a satisfying experience.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Wow these are all great questions, but where do I began? Well, I first want to bring it back to my childhood. I remember as a child, my mother would let me watch the Harry Potter series from beginning to end as a reward, but really I think she wanted me to be quiet. I couldn’t blame her, but little did she know those moments gave me both passion and ambition that soon fuel my dreams of who I want to be. The Art of Filmmaking is a way to express through imagery while capturing and creating ideas and bringing them closer to reality. I began my journey as an actress with Keotic Visuals in “A Night at the Park II: Abel Kills.” From being an extra there, I moved forward, crafting my acting skills at Acting Out Academy. This led me to a major role in a drama series called Halls of Ivy by Keotic Visuals. My character was “Danielle Miller,” the leading lady. The series resonated with viewers and fans alike, which was a wonderful achievement. Besides acting, I also engaged in writing and directing at Keotic Visuals. Over time, I moved up to become the COO of Keotic Visuals. I’m thankful for being a part of this organization, and the growth of Keotic Visuals continues. Furthermore, what sets me apart from other creators is honestly my imagination. We all have a unique way of seeing life, and many people get inspired by others. I find my inspiration in my surroundings. Getting to where I am today wasn’t as easy, but it was definitely worth it. This journey alone has made me more grateful for the opportunities, good and bad, I overcame by believing in myself and having like-minded friends and family in my circle. I want the ones reading this now to know that you can always reach your dreams, but you have to maintain that vision. And if you don’t know where to start, Keotic Visuals will most definitely help you along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would say, food-wise, slutty vegan! The atmosphere there is very different. We also have many bars. To select from! But I would have to say Saturn is the most fun I’ve ever had while in a bar. Having arcade games and good music is always the place to be! To end the night, you most definitely have to go to the Vulcan. You get an incredible view of Birmingham nightlife. Just don’t go in the cold!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give recognition to my mentor, Amari Raquel. She has had a major impact on my life when it comes to film and continues to push me forward and support me in every direction I take. I also want to give recognition to all of my writing peers; without them, I would second guess myself; they are part of the reason I am an incredible writer today.
