We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharena Loggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sharena, is there something you believe many others might not?
Build it and they will come is a lie!

I think a lot of new Entrepreneurs are starting to figure out that this isn’t true at all. There’s so much more to selling a product or service than just creating it and offering it for sale.

Once that part is done, then you have to market it, drive traffic to your website and develop a relationship with your audience. All of this takes time and effort. In fact, it is a whole other job in itself that one may not be prepared to undertake or have the time to do.

Take some business classes, marketing classes and maybe even hire a coach just beware of the social media “gurus”, I’m not talking about them. Lifestyle marketing is not receipts, find coaches with real receipts from real clients, not their friends.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started the Regal Phoenix brand five years ago as a crystal store at a time when I thought my life was falling apart. The store did exceptionally well the first 3 years but as crystals became more trendy, business began to slow down.

Everyone tells you to hire help, but that’s not always the answer because in my case none of the “help” produced a return on my investment.

During the last 2 years we have spent almost $50k in rebranding, marketing, ads, email coaching & services and none of it improved our sales.

Some days I feel like I could’ve just took some time off and went on vacation with that money LOL But I learned so much in the process and as a Spiritual person, I know that you rarely reap where you sow so I know that one day soon my investments will return to me tenfold in other ways.

But most entrepreneurs don’t have a career to fall back on, like I do with my Real Estate Brokerage so my advice to new entrepreneurs would be to manage your profits well and hire slow. Don’t get scammed by the social media marketing gurus that have all of their friends co-signing their business they are indeed scammers.

It’s hard to compete with big box stores selling fake crystals to the masses so I decided to pivot & introduce people to their Chakras by teaching about energy healing.

Since then, I have opened The Regal Phoenix School of Energy, teaching the traditional Usui System of Reiki Healing, I have become a Certified Sound Healer and I authored a children’s book with my daughter entitled “Dhakiyah learns about her Chakras”.

I am available to do Sound Baths for corporate events, school events & private group sessions. I am open to partnerships with practitioners of other healing modalities and I would love to come speak at your event!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Y’all know ATL is a vibe but I’m a little older so I like spots that are chill and I don’t do lines! LOL

Yao ATL in Dunwoody is one of my new favs! But here’s my list:

Tassili’s Raw Reality Cafe
Gocha’s Breakfast Bar
Chef Rob’s Caribbean Cafe
Paschal’s
Slim & Husky’s

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my Shoutout to my Husband, the legendary Color One!

I have to thank my Husband for his unwavering support of all of my businesses, but also for giving me the time and the space to indulge in self care activities that aided in my growth and my healing. He has been my sounding board, my partner, my test dummy and my voice of reason. With him by my side, I have been able to achieve my goals and pivot to the next in record time.
