We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaydine Royes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaydine, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It actually was never an intentional plan or idea! My best friend’s birthday was coming up. She had always talked about wanting to have a picnic party like they do on Pinterest. I took it upon myself to make that vision come to life! I invited four of our closest friends and got to work. My partner at the time helped me obtain some wooden pallets that we could use as picnic tables. Most Items like blankets and throw pillows were already household items we never used, in addition I went to a couple stores like goodwill, tjmax, and grabbed table wear / cute decor, nothing fancy. I really just put a couple things I found together. I was eighteen at the time I didn’t really have the budget to go extravagant but made do! On the Day of my besties birthday my partner and I came out an hour before party time to set up my take on a Pinterest picnic. we noticed we were getting a lot of attention. People started coming up and asking if this was a package they could buy. I had no intention of starting a picnic company but after all the support and motivation I received from friends, family and even complete strangers I decided to give it a shot.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

I want the world to know my business is honestly a labor of love, it’s built on my passions, creativity, and a dedication to delivering quality. I want people to understand that success doesn’t always mean being the biggest or the most profitable; it’s about waking up every day with a sense of purpose and fulfillment. My story is a version to the idea that with hard work and determination, anyone can turn their dreams into reality. For that I am most proud. However, challenges are a part of any entrepreneurial journey. I’ve learned with every step back there’s an opportunity take two steps forward. My most recent failure is actually on of my favorite. My team and I were running late on a set up for a client, we arrived at the location and our equipment broke. At this point I wanted to cry, we were running late, no equipment, and we were no wear near our unit or store to get a replacement. I had to think outside of the box, my team member did not see the vision I told her trust the process. I was so proud of what I had created, and really in awe by my client’s reaction. If my equipment never broke, I would never have been able to come up with my latest concept. Now this is a minor setback, I’ve experienced setbacks due to my age, race, even setbacks of figuring out Entrepreneuring. I encourage people who want to start their own business to make sure it something they love. Nothing can stop or demotivate you when you’re doing it for yourself! I believe what sets my business apart from others is Authenticity. I genuinely love what I do, I think when you are that passionate it shines through in your work, I will go the extra mile just to put a smile on my client’s face. I think a lot of people forget just how special these intimate events can be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day One: I’d start the day with the perfect breakfast from “Peachtree Cafe”. I can’t show someone my town without having them try Peachtree’s delicious smoothie After breakfast, head to Downtown Lawrenville to enjoy the beautiful scenery, go for a walk, or maybe even have a picnic. After some sun I’d swing by the Hudgens art center to see all the beautiful new exhibits. we would end the night with Great food and cool views at volcano steak and sushi.

Day Two; We would Spend the day at Lake Lanier Islands Resort. I’d rent a boat, so we could spend our day swimming, relaxing and having fun on the beach. With the many awesome food choices, drinks, and live music the resort has it would be a blast.

Day Three: This would be a more chill day, we slept in to recover from the prior night. I’m thinking by the time we wake up Korean BBQ ? OO LETS GO WINDOW SHOPPING. Ok ok yea maybe let’s just have a game/movie night instead.
