Meet Ne’Tavia Ndongala | Actress, Model & Entreprenuer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ne’Tavia Ndongala and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ne’Tavia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose an artistic career because it allows me to express myself constantly and have freedom. I feel happy to work as an artist because I’m able to use my imagination and I think of things in a creative way. It does not feel like a job to me because I throughly enjoy it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey to artistry began in high school, when I took my first drama class. Post graduation, I went to The University of Georgia where I was actually studying Biology with a Pre-Medical school route. While in college, I took theatre classes as my elective courses. For a while I enjoyed both science and art. However, post college graduation my interest shifted more towards artistry via acting and modeling. It was a difficult decision to make because at one point I truly thought I would become a doctor. In changing career paths, It took a while to shed my old identity and embrance my current one. But ultimately, I don’t regret it and am much happier now. I’ve learned that it is important to put your desires above anything else and to follow your aspirations. I’ve also learned to enjoy the journey of getting to where I want to be.
I want the world to recognize me for the authenticity I put in whatever project I’m involved in. I intend to use all of my life stories and experiences via acting to encourage, inspire, and motivate others to be themselves and keep going no matter what happens in life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the Avalon in Alpharetta; simply walking around there or going to Regal theatre, Marlows Tavern, or Jenni’s Ice Cream. I love Piedmont Park, its so peaceful and nice to connect with nature. I also like the Perimeter Mall & The Cheesecake Factory. The drinks at The Sugar Factory are good. Lastly, of Course Six Flags is a must especially since its summer time now!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my grandmother, my parents, my siblings, my close friends, my close family members, my clothing design team, my marketing team, my theatre coach Ismail Connor, and my acting coach Jeff Cole.
