We had the good fortune of connecting with Trina Platt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In my adolescence, I was unhappy with my environment.  Growing up without a father, 9 other siblings, and little education/guidance put me in a rough situation. At 14 years old it was truly apparent to me that a change must happen. The thought of being in the same situation as my mother was unsettling. My hustle kickstarted,  I baby-sat, ran errands, and did hair. I pushed forward and worked many other jobs to help my family to survive, however, I knew I could be better! I wanted to be a boss! In 2002 with my then-husband, I sewed my first investment in transportation Services. Ever since I have continued to make lucrative investments that have procured my success. My driving force was, is, and will always be my children. Them having a better life than I had as a child became imperative.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to work with Spine Center Atlanta. I have been tremendously blessed to work with the best Attorneys, Doctors, Chiropractors, and overall amazing people thus far in my life. Before my Marketing Consultant career, I owned several restaurants, collection agencies, convenience stores, and retail stores. At first, I was sure this new industry would be a breeze, but boy was I mistaken. The beginning felt like I was a kid from another state at a new school. I’m thankful for my closest friends Andrea Riggs, Kimberly Franklin (she’s my personal angel), Yaschica Davis (my backbone when the world is feeling heavy- she’s always there with a smile), and all the other great staff at Spine Center Atlanta. They have molded me into this unstoppable force. I must admit approaching people and starting conversations about any and everything has always been my greatest strength! However, in addition to that skill set, I worked hard every single day and night to master my new path. I studied and practiced with my kids, friends, and family member. I am ultimately proud of the accomplishments I have achieved thus far and will make in the future. I’m a beautiful black woman and I’m extremely driven to become even greater!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is a place full of fun!  Downtown Atlanta, Buckhead, Midtown, Little 5 Points….are just a small number of places to have a blast and make memories. A beautiful itinerary for my best friend would include a calming stroll through botanical gardens. After that we would gather for some rooftop cocktails at Whiskey blue followed by a fulfilling dinner at Capital Grille. The following days we can hit the town and enjoy some activities such as escape rooms, the Sky Wheel and Spa land!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The head of my life will always get the first praise and shout-out which is the one and only God!  Without him, there’s no me. Secondly, I would like to recognize my kids. I never imagined how strong, patience, selfless, caring, loving, and smart my 3 little people would be!!! They make me feel like superwoman and are simply amazing! I also want to thank Precious, a young lady who I call my second daughter, my angel, my everything. She’s always a call away. I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation to all my friends and family that has held me sane throughout my journey.
