Meet Yaumar BigHustle” Williams | Serial Entrepreneur “

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yaumar “BigHustle” Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yaumar “BigHustle”, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
My whole life has revolved around not being afraid to take risk. With great risk comes great reward. I have lived this principle for as long as i could remember. My risk in the past was aligned with the wrong lifestyle until a real good friend called one morning around 6:30am and told me about the old fable involving the rabbit and the tortoise. He had a serious revelation and wanted to share it with me. I remember him saying to me that the key word in this fable was ALWAYS. The tortoise always wins the race. The rabbit always leaves the starting line faster than the tortoise but somehow the tortoise always wins. This hit me like a ton of bricks realizing that I’ve been the rabbit my whole life and was being fulfilled by instant gratification, but wasn’t progressing the way it looked like i was from the outside looking in. At this point is when i started to change my mindset and focus on my God given abilities and work on developing them further. The spirit of not being afraid to take risk stayed with me and i embarked on a journey of trying different things until i started my Athleisure brand “Prolific Hustle”. I jumped in head first and made a few mistakes during its beginning. Determined to provide a better life for me and my family i focused on building my brand more intensely investing thousands of dollars on marketing and trademarking. Three years into launching Prolific Hustle I met a good friend and aspiring artist named Lola Ladae and we came together to start an event space in Mableton GA called “Hustle and Lo Studios” which is a creative hub for creators of all kind. She was already doing events around the Atlanta area. Us starting this space was a huge leap of faith we didnt know how we were going to pull it off but through the grace of God and not being afraid to take risk we pulled it off. We are now approaching our 1st full year of business and our anniversary celebration is scheduled for May 28th. Im very excited to be reaching this milestone because it has been a very challenging journey but through loyal repeat customers and our faith in God we have been able to enjoy what success when you aren’t afraid to take the risk and put in the work feels like. Through opening Hustle and Lo Studios i was able to tap into another one of my God given talents. I started a food service called “Big Hustle’s Jerk”. This has by far been the most fulfilling of all my ventures because i have always enjoyed cooking. It truly doesn’t feel like work to me. I love to see the look on people’s faces when they taste my food for the 1st time. I have some of the best Jerk bowls and Tacos that you will ever experience. Without me being fearless and unafraid to take risk none of these things would have ever been brought to fruition. I am truly Prolific Hustle every way.
