We had the good fortune of connecting with Destiny Tha Nailtech and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destiny, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
As for now my end goal is to be one of the best celebrity nail techs there is! Just like you have Arrogant Tae who is the best at hair, I want to be on the same level just with nails. By the end of my career I want to already have accomplished big celebrities like Cardi B, Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion etc.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is I’m not afraid to take risks. When I first started trying to get in contact with celebrities I got a few rude responses but I also got a lot of positive responses! It just prepared me to be ready for any kind of response! One thing I am proud of is my drive to keep going! After the first celebrity I did which was Mehgan James. Right after I left her house I immediately thought “ okay what’s next” cause nobody wants to be known as a ”one timer”. I just new that wasn’t going to be my one & only celebrity client! How I got to where I am today took a lot of consistency & hard work. I had to master a few skills, work on my delivery speech, went to nail school. Etc I did a whole lot. But it’s paying off now. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is never give up on your dreams no matter who isn’t able to see your vision. When I was younger I always had big dreams and some people just didn’t see it the way I saw it & my dad used to tell me “Don’t feel bad just cause a small minded person can’t think as big as you” & from my then on no one couldn’t tell me anything career wise!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from Fresno where it’s small so it’s not a whole lot of spots. If we’re going to go eat it would be Ruth Chris Or Flemmings! Drinking wise it would still be Ruth Chris Or Flemmings lol. After we’re done we’d probably go visit a scenery spot and just chill & hangout! It’s not too much to do in Fresno!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
That’s forever going to be a hard question because I can’t just name 1 person. I have a whole community behind me believing in me. But I would have to say my family 100%. From my dad all the way down to my siblings. No matter what, good terms or on bad terms they ALWAYS show love & support me! Always! They were there from the beginning & I’m so grateful for them unconditionally! I also want to shoutout & thank GOD because without him there wouldn’t be a me! He’s shown me time & time again that prayer works. & he’s been by my side from the beginning!
