We had the good fortune of connecting with Damarys Rangel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Damarys, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Coexistence between people, I believe that we must join forces as an organized society in education in human rights and duties, raise awareness that tolerance, respect, which has despite inequality of race, social condition, political condition, religion, etc., persists people and their ability to love their fellow men as themselves.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I recognize myself as a persistent, analytical and methodical woman, I have reached my professional goals within my country and abroad, currently being the President of a Human Rights Foundation, it is not an easy task, there are many moments that I stop sharing with My family, to address labor issues, excites me and drives me when despite facing economic groups, governments, we can give a little peace to families that have suffered a tragedy or violation of human rights.

How did you get to where you are today in terms of business?

I have studied a lot, and I consider it the source of my professional reward.

how did you overcome the challenges? Rethinking the problem, consult with the best professionals and always with my mom.

What are the lessons you have learned along the way?

I learned not to justify other people’s behaviors, and not to assume that other people think of a certain situation, we are all responsible for what we do and speak.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

That being a migrant in another country is not an easy task, but discipline, commitment and self-respect is the key to all success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In this moment of my life, I would share a special moment with a friend in Spain La Coruna, it is a Province, which gave us excellent, a meal for discerning wine palates, with an invitation to the Romanesque Tower of Hercules, contrasts starkly with the modern atmosphere of this Spanish metropolis by the sea.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, I thank God, my parents, my University Professors, exemplary lawyers who have been an example of ethics, I recognize Magistrate Reinaldo Chalbaud Zerpa (deceased) of Constitutional Rights, Dr. Letty Piedrahitta, President of the State Bar Association Miranda, I admire your capacity for knowledge, your passion for your profession.
