We had the good fortune of connecting with Rissa Hall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rissa, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson in business is to keep going no matter how hard it gets. In life you have a choice either to be mediocre or to be extraordinary . Everyday gives you a new chance to show how extraordinary you can be. Dream big and do not allow outside influences to discourage you.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart is simple. I am ME! Its an honor and privilege to have my passion and creativity. I have always had big dreams for myself. I believe that everyday in business teaches something. When I started my first business CJE communications Corp. I was nervous to step into the telecommunications business. I still find myself astonished how far the business has grown and all the different places The company has been. I remember when my Husband and I decided to get into telecom like it was yesterday I was afraid, I had no idea that I would learn not only about business but about myself. From integration to Fiber even new site builds. Our company has worked with so many amazing companies. We have traveled with the business from Texas with our first job to Ohio, Florida, New Orleans and many other places. When a challenge presents itself I usually step away pray about it then I revisit the issue with patience. Its ok to fall but the true adventure is in getting back up and continuing on your journey .

Today I am still the CEO of CJE.

I also have a customs business named Natural Sistahz where we specialize in creating custom items for all occasions. Natural Sistahz was started because I have 4 daughters who could not find items that represented the beauty of their melanated skin and beautiful hair texture. At the time they all had Locs. We searched hi and low for shirts that represented our culture but came up short.
Being a mother and a Creative individual I order my first 2 pieces of equipment and got started. Today I create create custom items for any occasion. Birthdays, graduations , christmas, etc.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The answer to this really depends on what state we are in at the time .

however our permanent residents is in Atlanta so ill choose a week there.
To be honest I am a go with the flow type of person but here are few places that we would go to after that we would more than likely explore the city depending on events. I love concerts so that is always an option

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I Would not be who I am without God.

Secondly, I must say thank you to My amazing Husband and wonderful daughters who are always by my side no matter what. They are the most vital part of why I continue to create and love every part of this life I Live. I could not imagine this life with out my husband and amazing daughters.

Next I must say thank to my wonderful woman and talented mother who is my biggest cheerleader. No matter what I am attempting to achieve she has always encouraged and even pushed me to dream bigger . For every encouraging word from birth to todays date,
she has and will forever be the reason I shine in any room I am in .
