Meet Noah Russell | Founder of Shine My Ride Mobile Detailing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Russell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Noah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I originally started detailing because I had gotten my first car in high school and started watching videos about how to wash cars properly. Once I started getting good results I realized that it could be a good side hustle to make some money in my neighborhood, especially since I was only making $9 an hour at Chick-Fil-A at the time. After a couple months, the money from detailing became significantly better than my job so I quit without hesitation. Once I did that, I knew I was destined to be an entrepreneur for the rest of my life. I always felt trapped in school, like I had no control over my life. It was only once I started detailing that I truly grasped that the trajectory of my life was completely in my own hands! Best decision of my life! I recently moved to Georgia and started up this new detailing business. We have been open for 3 months and business is already going well!

What should our readers know about your business?
Shine My Ride is a Mobile Detailing business that provides car detailing services to Atlanta and Cobb County. One thing that makes us unique is that we are a fully rinse-less business, which means that we only use up to 3 gallons of water per service by using advanced polymer solutions rather than standard car soaps that people are familiar with. We also put an extensive amount of effort trying to find every way we can make our booking process as simple as possible. Such as, fixed pricing, online booking, and a shorter service list than normal. As a formal employee, I also had the goal in mind of becoming the “Chick-Fil-A of detailing” by putting customer service before everything. If we can get referrals, then our marketing budget goes down, and we get the google reviews we are looking for! Thanks to these core values, we have gotten 30 five star reviews in 3 months!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Hawks season ticket holder, so I go to games all the time. I am also a huge sucker for walks in Piedmont park. If you’re a dog owner, I’d highly recommend going to Burger Park, it’s a great place to meet other dog owners! Other places I love to go to include Fox Creek Golf Course, Marietta Square, the Georgia Aquarium, any Waffle House, Candler Park, and the Sun Dial!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everyday I look around and see the overwhelming support that people have for me and my business. For me to say I’m fully self made would be foolish. I would say a huge part of my success is from Youtubers such as ChrisFix, Alex Hormozi, The Rag Company, etc. I also owe a lot to my friends and family, many of them give me great advice that has helped me develop myself as an entrepreneur. I also owe a lot to my amazing clients who have been very supportive and help me get new clients all the time. They also give me great advice on how I can improve my marketing and services. Successful businesses are not created from one person, but a team of motivated individuals who understand what they’re best at, and where they need outside help. Having an ego automatically puts a ceiling to your growth potential as you will not be open to assistance from people who are better at things than you are. Business is a team sport!
