Meet Nella Reynolds | CEO of Aloire Beauty World, Beauty Supply Guru

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nella Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nella, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I define success as accomplishing whatever your own personal goals are. For example, if you aspire to be a mom and you become a parent and raise a family, that to me that is success. Success is not defined by finances, or material things. Success is defined by being good at what you do and doing what makes you happy. Celebrating the small wins and accomplishments add up to big success.

What should our readers know about your business?
Aloire Beauty World is the first black owned luxury beauty supply store in Chamblee, GA that caters to people of color. Our presence creates an atmosphere of inclusiveness and trust within the community. I aim to change the face of the beauty supply industry. I am here to represent the very people who this industry made to cater to. I’ve decided to take my passion for beauty and create an experience for my customers when the step into my shop. When they come in, everyone just feels good. They love that we do things differently at Aloire. My customers trust that we are knowledgeable about their needs and can assist them with the best products that are right for them. What sets us apart, first is the esthetic of my store. It is a work of art. From the floors to the lighting. The creativity that went into the design of the space was strategically thought out. The placement and display of products are creatively placed so each display is a piece of art. The merchandise that we carry is ahead of the curb and caters to the artistic and creative client base of stylist, make-up artist and designers that frequent our store. I am extremely creative when it comes to promotional events and showcasing products for our customers. We connect with our client base via social media and on-site events. We also support other emerging black owned businesses and entrepreneurs by showcasing their services, products and merchandise. Our vision is to not only create new employment opportunities for the community but also help develop entrepreneurial skills in those who we hire to become successful business owners as well. We also host events open to the community, with food, music and giveaways. In addition, we give back through community services such as drives for school supplies, coats, food and personal necessities for those in need. We take pride in being known for giving back to the people in our neighborhoods.
Being brave and taking risk allowed me to be where I am today. I’m not afraid to just do it. This journey is not easy. There have been may setbacks and delays to reach the level of success I have achieved today. And I’m sure there would be many more along the way as I continue to grow. However, to reap the reward we must take a chance. By setting goals, strategizing a plan and execution the desired outcome is attainable. Sure, not everything may go exactly as planned, but you will never know unless you try. I do get nervous at times, but I absolutely have no fear. I want to the world to know that you can do it!
Being the oldest of 6 children, I saw how my mother sacrificed to be able to provide for our family. My siblings have always looked up to me and I feel like they look to me as the leader. I want to make sure young girls and boys with a face like mine and skin like mine and hair like mine and from neighborhoods like the ones I came from can see that anything is possible. They too can succeed at whatever it is they desire to be and do in life. I want to make my brand a respected household name and make a difference to others in the process. I mean, what beauty supply store is out here doing what we do at Aloire? I’m just doing beauty supply in a way that is unheard of and that’s a creation in itself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a Florida Native new to the Atlanta area. The majority of my time here I’ve spent building my business. I haven’t gone out on the town too much but there are a few places I really enjoy. First, we will have to hit up my favorite spot for lunch at Slutty Vegan. Shout out to Pinky!! Definitely do a little shopping in Buckhead Village and likely have a bite a little later at The Tastee Spoon. They serve authentic Jamaican food and other Caribbean influenced dishes. The vibe is amazing and the have live music at night. I’d also take them to enjoy a little self-care at the Cryotherapy at CryoEvolution in Chamblee and find a nice spot with a roof top view of the city to enjoy some wine and a little girl talk.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my Partner in Grind and COO, Beckie Lherisson. She likes to be behind the scenes but keeps things running smoothly and keeps me balanced. We collaborate and create ideas together to advance the Aloire brand. She is an extension of me in this business. You see me, you see her, you see her, you see me!
