We had the good fortune of connecting with Core DJ Hershey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Core, why did you pursue a creative career?
Having a gift is within all of us. It varies per person. My love for the arts made it easy to pursue. And how I can share what I can create to allow others to enjoy it as well!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Becoming a professional DJ was not easy. Learning the ropes, connecting with the right people and trusting your gut takes courage. Not all gigs are good for you to take. And not being afraid to set yourself apart what is now considered normal takes confidence and patience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Monday- Harold’s Chicken Tuesday- Centennial Park/Ga Aquarium Wednesday- studio guest on my Radio show Fubu Radio Thursday- chillin at home catch up Friday- uptown comedy corner Saturday- Red Cup house Party with friends Sunday – brunch at Boogaloo Lounge or Suite – to station as guest on air again FUBU Radio
