Meet Aubrey Jai Collection | Vegan Leather Luxury Handbag Brand

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aubrey Jai Collection and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aubrey Jai, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I just wanted to leave a legacy for my daughter. She loves shapes and I love fashion. I just had an idea one day sitting there like what if we put these two things together and that’s how the pyramid purse came along.Of course I had to name it after her. This handbag is fashion but this brand is family owned and we are planning for it to bring generational wealth to not only Aubrey but Aubrey’s children and our family to come.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Aubrey Jai Collection was definitely not a walk in the park getting off the ground. We decided to use 100% recycle eco friendly material to make our handbags instead cowhide. We love animals and we just couldn’t image using them as fabric. That’s really like someone taking our golden doodle Blaze and turning him into a a rug.That’s just something we could not stand for !

Since we are doing unusual shapes and making them as usable as possible, the design is always the tricky part for us. We want to make items as unique as possible while being very practical as well. We have learned to just be patience with designs and sleep on it and come back to it later.

I want the world to know that this brand is here to stay and is planning to change the fashion world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
OOOH so first all our brunch spot is going to Barneys . I love that place . Those lamb chops whew! Then we might catch a movie at my favorite theater IPIC. The drinks are fire . Afterward we might walk down the to my favorite steak place STK. Listen we love to eat.

During this week we definitely got to catch the vibes at high museum. We love art so we would also have to go to spin art . The owner is very cool his name is Demetri . Afterwards we have to go have a beer at Atlantucky Brewing. Then we might visit one of our favorite rooftops Reverb.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout to my wife, Chelsea Sams well Cali! She really the behind the scenes backbone to this whole brand. She’s beautiful, but shy in front of camera. My wife does the content marketing, photoshoot theme, and accounting. She wears so many hats.She truly is the superwomen of Aubrey Jai Collection. I could not have done this with her. I dedicate all our success thus far to her!
