Meet Lucien Weller | Veteran small business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucien Weller and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lucien, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
A tremendous amount of patience and persistence. At times it seems like you are just waiting for a business opportunity to show itself. In the meantime trying to stay persistent in thought and actions pertaining to business goals. There is an unbelievable amount of baby steps in the beginning that easily sidetracks the best of plans.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The road I have taken has not been easy. Nor its decision or implementation. Due to unforeseen circumstances that some could view as an absolute disaster; I viewed as an opportunity. An opportunity to take a chance on myself. Starting a business from the ground up and self funding it is not easy. Still isn’t. I learn lessons every day. Most of my success I owe to my three P’s. Prayer, Patience, and Persistence. Everything that I have learned in regards to woodworking is self-taught. Started it as a hobby some time ago with only the basic of tools and a passion to learn. I would have to say my biggest asset would be my attention to the smallest detail. My biggest gift is the ability to recreate anything just by looking at a picture.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give all credit to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have reached a time in my life where I have recognized that everything that I have ever accomplished or succeeded in would not have have been possible without him.
