We had the good fortune of connecting with Algie Brodnax Aka FTP and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Algie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was always a dream for me. But in the beginning it was tough. There is no way to prepare for the amount of sleepless night of trying to get your business off the ground. Trials and tribulations are things you will have to overcome. The biggest thing you will have to overcome is believing in yourself and knowing your worth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a music producer turn executive it was a long road. In the beginning I was fortunate to be able to work with artist like Drake and Loaded Lux. But before we got to those artist, I use to make 5 to 10 beats a day. The first thing you have to do to become a master of your craft, you need to put in at least 10000 hours working on your craft. Anything I do for my brand is designed with my vision in heart, so once I decide to share it with the world 🌎, it’s something I took a lot of time creating. Quality over Quantity.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m from Richmond Va, but my heart is in Atlanta Ga. First thing first I would have to take you to the Blue Flame 🔥 to view the beautiful women and to get the best wings in Atlanta. Then after that we would go to an Atlanta Hawks game or Atlanta United game, where you would see everybody from celebrities to your local A town ambassadors. Then the last stop will have to be Rum Punch, Rum Punch is a whole vibe if you love dancing and great music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First things first I would like to thank god, without god none of this is possible. Next I would love to give thanks to my mom, who is my biggest supporter. Also want to give thanks to my wife, love you. Now one of my biggest mentors is King Silini aka Mu, my big bro. Without him, life would be more of a challenge than what it already is. Shout out to Vincent El, Nickelus F for getting me started in the music business. My business partner Dutch Deville also played a big part in my business career together.
