Meet Denise Tichenor-Davis | International Gospel/Inspirational Artist, Radio and Television Personality, CEO of RevNation, LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Tichenor-Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Denise, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to inspire others to follow their passion(s). I want my legacy encourage other independent music artists to learn the music industry enough to maintain their power and much of their revenue. I have been in the music industry (gospel, theatre and secular) cumulatively for over 3o years and had to learn a lot along the way as well as develop many relationships and networking opportunities. I am now using all that I have learned so far to help other independent artists go their “next levels” by sharing what I have learned with them and creating a team that will help assist them in meeting their goals. It feels good to leave a legacy of giving back!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The name of my company is RevNation, LLC. It is a music consultation company for independent music artists. I absolutely love what I do. My passion for RevNation and its’ clients comes from having my own experience as an independent artist for over 30 years in the gospel, secular and theatre fields. There were many things that I had to learn on my journey through trial and error. From these experiences, I have been able to create a company that is able to help indie artists side-step many of the pit-falls that I fell into all while offering clients a team of agents and an administrative team assist them in completing many of their goals and benchmarks. It gives me joy and satisfaction to see our clients realize some of their most sought after dreams! Many of our clients have been able to complete their very first professional recording, first professional video, top of the line photo shoots, many are charting on the music charts for the first time in their lives, and even being nominated for some very notable awards!
What I have learned along the way with my company is that integrity goes a long way….No matter what….I refuse to compromise my integrity to “fit in” and our clients appreciate that as well.
Surprisingly, It wasn’t as hard as I expected to get to where we are today! I believe this stems from the fact that what we are offer is very needed in our field and the pandemic made it more of necessity to team of with a company like RevNation, LLC in order to find ways to still operate successfully as an Indie Artist.
However, we did encounter challenges with what clients should truly expect from RevNation and what is from the client. We were able to solve this by creating a monthly report that keeps our clients up to date with past, current and future tasks and their completion processes. Our clients seem to really appreciate this and have been able to track their progress with us much easier.
I want the world to know that Independent Artists have so much value in what they offer and just because you may not see them on the big stages and big screens all the time, doesn’t mean that they don’t have real star quality and inspiring content.
We encourage the world to support independent music artists by researching for new music from a new artist on occasion! They will find out that there are many artists that will inspire them with their music and their story!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have so many family members to come visit me and a few of the places I take them to is a couple of my favorite “soul food” spots, “This Is It” or “Mary Macs”. I also absolutely love our live music scene here in Atlanta! So, I will take friends and family to a great live music spot called, “Apache” or a great spot called , “Cafe 290”. I have personally performed live shows in both venues and absolutely love the atmosphere, crowds and the great vibe.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my husband, Walter Daryl Davis for his amazing support and love. For many years, I have had creative ideas and desires to do more than just my music but couldn’t find the time or help. However, after marrying my husband, Walter Daryl Davis in 2018, I have now been able to realize many more of my dreams and goals, such as my radio and tv podcast shows, as well as my Indie music consultation company, RevNation, LLC, all while holding down our home and children. I am able to do all of this because of my amazing husband’s love and supports.
