We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Habits that have helped me to succeed would be the ability to over plan/overdo. Whenever I have a goal in mind I am super determined. I will wake up early and stay late until the goal I have in mind is obtained. I don’t focus on the what-ifs, but I focus on the outcome, the bigger picture, and the joy I will feel once I’ve accomplished a goal.

I also have a habit of creating strategic plans, these plans include tactics I will take to get me to my overall long-term goal. I make it a habit to do this every day because what you focus on grows and I’d rather focus on the things that are only leading me to success.

In addition to planning, I love to create a balanced habit of working out, traveling, relaxing in the sauna, self-care, and faith.

I feel that it’s important to make sure I am feeding myself, and my mind with positive talk so I have a habit of listening to a black girl affirmation guide and sermon on my way to work.

The list of habits goes on…

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So during the day, I spend my time working as a staffing executive. I am ranked top 10 within my division. I’ve been able to achieve success/six figures within 2 years of being with the company and have brought in over 800k + and counting in revenue. It wasn’t easy getting to where I am, but I’ve always focused on the end goal, the home purchase, the lifestyle, and the figures. I’ve always been up for the challenge and have never backed down.

What sets me apart would be my ability to focus, overcome adversities, consistency, and diligence.

I would like the world to know that you can do anything you set your mind to. Never let your circumstances define you. If I can do it, so can you!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Great question. I am all about ambiance and lovely decor. I’d suggest a place like the Betty, 5 church, the Atrium. I am also all about self-care, so we would likely visit St. Regis, Astoria, or maybe Chateau Elan for a weekend wine and spa trip.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Most of my success comes from my ability to overcome adversities. The inclination of resilience, delayed gratification, and perseverance. My upbringing made me who I am today. Nothing was handed to me, nothing was easy, so that created a fire and drive within me; I’ve always strived to give myself the best, and sometimes I just look back in amazement at how far I’ve come. I’m thankful to my mom and grandmother for instilling faith in me at a very young age. “I am simply winning in the world and in the word”.

Outside of my upbringing that truly impacted my success, I’d like to give credit to books that also aided me along my journey, such as Rich Dad, Poor Dad, The Secret, The Power of Now, Affirmations for Black women, and Atomic Habits.

Lastly, a lot of my support comes from my circle, the people I keep close which are family, friends, and the word of God.

I’m ever so grateful for my circle.
