We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffani Blú and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffani, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
The optimist in me would always tell a person to keep going, even when things get tough. There’s a price that comes with following your dreams but it’ll be totally worth it in the end. You just have to stay focused and have faith in yourself.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m currently a beauty entrepreneur servicing clients for both nails & makeup. I’m also a lifestyle content creator where I do a little bit of everything with a very down-to-earth appeal. I find that in today’s climate, there’s no use in being one dimensional. It’s important to be able to have the skills to pivot when necessary.

I initially took a liking to the beauty industry in 2017 & when I moved to Atlanta in January 2022 I decided to just go full-throttle with it. Becoming a full-time beauty professional definitely hasn’t been easy but I wouldn’t change it for a thing. I have my good days & some bad ones too but I always persevere. Through it all, I have to say being my own boss has been pretty cool. I’ve always liked to march to the beat of my own drum so being a business owner is quite fitting.

One lesson that I’ve learned along the way is to always trust your gut. Your intuition is one of your most powerful tools.

I’m super excited about the relaunch of my jewelry line ‘HoopDreamz’ in May so be on the lookout for that. Each piece is inspired by important figures in the Black community.

Simply put, I am a multi-faceted powerhouse and I plan on sharing my gifts with the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m very new to Atlanta so I wouldn’t want to steer anyone in the wrong direction.

However, I’m a Virginia baby first; the Norfolk 757 area specifically. If you have the pleasure of visiting my hometown, I would recommend the following food spots:

-Feather n Fin for the best fried chicken
-Volcano for fresh sushi/hibachi
-The Grain for a cute brunch spot
-Yorgo’s for quick breakfast options
-Cookie’s Cakes & More for pastries & sweets
-Naas Bakery for pasteries & sweets

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to extend a special shoutout to my family and friends for the impact they’ve had on me. Their constant prayers and encouragement have really kept me going. They’ve been my rock through it all & I wouldn’t want to do life without them.
