We had the good fortune of connecting with Omowonuola Adeleye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omowonuola, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always loved anything that had to do with business, ever since a was a kid, you’d always find me selling one thing or the other. I however started my real business at age 18, I had just moved to a foreign country and I realized there weren’t a enough people catering to the needs of African hair, there was such difficulty in finding someone who had a basic knowledge of African hair and so I had the brilliant idea of starting a business to cater to African hair needs

What should our readers know about your business?
The name of my business is Naturalle Hair, we deal with human hair extensions and installation, I started the business 6 years ago, I was 18 years old with no capital and no experience and now I’m running a six -figure business, I am super proud of myself for that, but as many business owners would know, getting from point zero to a six-figure business is not an overnight miracle, I had to do a lot of self-teaching, i craved for an opportunity to get a mentor, however the country I was based in made it a lot difficult due to the language barrier, therefore I had to go twice as hard in teaching myself a lot of things, I love YouTube because I got to learn a lot from there as well, I took a lot of courses and read books.

I believe every entrepreneur can attest to one thing which is at some point you’d face challenges in your business, I faced many challenges but those made me wiser, I’m a believer of God and I truly believe he gave me wisdom to overcome the challenges I faced in business.

With my few years of being in business I’ve realized one thing, change is constant and in order to stay relevant in your field you have to be able to Learn the new trends and apply in your business.
Face the business that your own, as much as you learn from your competitors and improve your business, don’t let the competition get to you.

I truly believe you can achieve anything you put your mind to, your mind is a great tool, and through the years I’ve manifested a lot of the things I’ve believed through much hard work and not giving up, and even though I haven’t manifested half of the potential I have, I believe my story would be worldwide someday

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m not much of an outdoor person, however I would take them site-seeing, there are lots of historic places in my city which would be fun to visit, And probably visit a nice African restaurant
