We had the good fortune of connecting with Chad Pollard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chad, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
No matter what. Don’t mix business with friendship. Business is business.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, I have been into music since elementary school. I’ve been producing since I was 13. What sets me apart from others is me simply staying in my own lane. I try my best not to sound like the next producer. I do whatever I feel. Trying to be like someone else wont get you far. Trust me. One thing that made me very proud was when my favorite artist reached out to me because he was interested in my beats. Pastor Troy! Man I was too excited. I wont say it was hard and I wont say it was easy. It was just a long process that I stuck with since I started. Im easy to work with. Holla at me!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I really dont like clubbing but I love to eat. So Copeland’s on Cobb Pkwy is the seafood spot but if you want some good barbecue go to Smoke House BBQ on Ol Nat(7490 Old National Hwy). Thats my go to spots. I really dont drink like that but I love comedy show and music concerts. They be all over Georgia.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom. She got me started with music at a young age. She taught me how to play the piano and she made me sign up for school band in the fourth grade. Thats where it started.
