We had the good fortune of connecting with Tramika Craddock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tramika, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Let me start by saying I do not believe there is a perfect balance in life. I do however believe you can have a healthy balance! A healthy balance is knowing when to shift rhythm to make sure you are taking care of your priorities. Priorities can change monthly, weekly and some times even daily or within the day. Knowing how and when to shift rhythm is essential to having a healthy balance so you don’t experience fatigue or being overwhelmed. When I first started my business, I did not have a healthy balance or set scheduling/boundaries. I worked all day and night because I was so excited about launching and so excited that my ideas were flowing. Due to this, not intentionally, I was neglecting my family and my household responsibilities. I quickly learned I could not keep this up long. The resolve to my issue was to put myself on a schedule. I begin to schedule business hours, I scheduled household time, family time and even downtime. Scheduling has been key to helping me stay productive, shifting priorities and not overwhelming myself. As a wife, mother and business owner, my plate if full, everything needs my time and attention but of course I can’t be every where, all the time! I had to find a schedule that worked for my family & I, that allowed me to have a healthy balance. This way when I show up, i’m operating at my greatest potential. Scheduling creates boundaries for family, friends, co-workers, employees and yourself. I honestly don’t know what I would do without a schedule! It has definitely made a huge impact on my relationships and in business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is a resource hub for Moms. A place Moms can come for many resources, tools, tips and strategies! We celebrate Moms, encourage Moms and line them up with resources that can help them be where they desire to be in life. Most times our relationship with Moms start with Personal Development. Time-Management, Planning, Organization and Self-Care are key focus areas. We help Moms find a healthy balance with the responsibilities they already have and then we help them create a custom blueprint to add on their desires, without compromising family. I am passionate about helping Moms! When I was a young Mom at the age of 19, I had no clue what I was doing. There wasn’t a book, blueprint or webinars on what to do and how to do it. Not many support groups as well. Then the responsibility of being a new mom was overwhelming. Add working a full-time job and marriage to the equation. It was so hard to find a balance and it all and I lost myself in the midst of it as well. I didn’t know what to do, who to talk to or where to start. I just knew I wanted to be great every time I showed up! No matter if it was in the role of a Wife, Mother, Business Owner, this is when Tramika Craddock Enterprises LLC was birthed in my heart, I wanted to be able to help Moms who felt just like me! Years later I launched the business. I have dedicated my life to showing other moms what a healthy balance looks like and how to obtain one for themselves. Every family is different so this looks different for all. Our coaches help moms create a custom blueprint that works for their family. We support and encourage moms with our many events and private social groups. It’s important that moms have the support and accountability needed to be successful! This journey has definitely not all been easy. There are lonely times, times I was discouraged …when a product launch or a service launch doesn’t quite go as expected. There are frustrating times of dealing outside sources, needing rest, unexpected emergencies. I have definitely learned three things on this journey: 1. Keep going no matter what! 2. Lean on your support system, they are outside looking in and have the ability to encourage you and push you. When you are right in the middle of everything, it’s hard to see clearly. 3. How you react to any situation will definitely determine the outcome! Tramika Craddock Enterprises LLC is not just another business! We are dedicated to the support, encouragement and growth of all Moms! What makes us unique is we take the time to sit down with all of our Moms and we understand that everyone lifestyle is different, so creating custom blueprints is key. We also don’t forget about “Mom.” It’s so easy to give a list of tips and things to do to become a better mom, but we want our Moms to become a better person as well! We want them to enjoy motherhood but we don’t want them to lose themselves in the midst of it. Mom guilt and the unofficial rules of society that often times make Moms feel guilty about having pleasures, desires and dreams of their own, We want our moms to know that it is perfectly ok and it’s healthy to take out time to build themselves and do things that make them happy, alongside being a great mother. There is absolutely a way to be a great mom and build your dreams simultaneously, and we show moms how! We teach our moms how to do this without compromising family. It’s just a fact, the kids one day grow up, most move out and start lives of their own… our moms will already be equipped with a blueprint to transition during this time and continue, not start, doing the things they cherish and love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am absolutely a Girl that likes to have fun! I schedule in my Girl Time to have fun with my friends! Airbnb’s have been so cool! Booking an Airbnb to have a fun pajama party or sleepover with your closest friends and what I call a great way to practice self-care. I also like hotels like Intercontinental Buckhead and the Autograph Hotel in Alpharetta. If we were doing a week long escape, I would add a spa day, eating a Pappadeaux, Maggianos and a rooftop dinner at McCrays in dowtown Lawrenceville. One night we could dress up and go to Frankie’s Steakhouse, hands down the best service around the city! No Girl time is complete without nails and hair, Kinks n Konfidence in Lawrenceville is my favorite place to get my hair done! Its so intimate and cute! We cant forget about shopping! I’m simple to please, so we don’t have to do a big mall, small shopping centers where we can bounce from store to store works for me… and if my friends really wanted to have some fun, home decor shopping is my favorite! I love At Home and Hobby Lobby. Finishing up the week with some downtime at the movies would definitely be my idea of a great Girls week around the city!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Hands down my Husband has been my number one supporter! There are times I feel lonely, discouraged and if I’m being honest, in some moments, I just wanted to stop doing business altogether! He was the one that was always in my corner. Encouraging me, helping me with research, helping me talk through situations, showing up to events to help me prepare, praying for me, pushing me and so much more! I am forever grateful for his partnership and for his friendship. He truly brings the best “Me” out! I would like to also thank those genuinely connected to me who privately encourage me and push me to be great & keep going! Phone calls, pep talks, text messages, direct messages. You know who you are, thank you! To all of my clients who have trusted me with your journey, thank you! … and to many Moms who connect with me, thank you all for rocking with me!
