Meet Cierra Burch | Virtual CFO & Finance Bestie

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cierra Burch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cierra, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Being personable. Everyone knows me as “Your Finance Bestie”. I am here to solve your money problems but to make it fun. Working with finances can be daunting and overwhelming for any business owner. Me being able to bring clarity, facts and great advice as a virtual CFO provides all of my clients with the necessary resources to succeed & build revenue. Reminding my clients that no is running their business like them, meaning the milestones they are making are specific to their brand and growth. Them knowing that they can count on me to handle the numbers, brainstorm to their personality and business needs is why I am their “Bestie”.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A little about myself, I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and my MBA in Finance. I have spent the last few years working in the Finance and learning the ins and outs of corporate finance. Also, I am currently studying to become a Certified Financial Planner and look to bring more of my skillsets to my clients. With that ever-growing knowledge I created Jordan & Bright Financial Services aimed to help minority entrepreneurs gain a better understanding of their business finances & wealth development.
It was actually my best friend Ashley who prompted me to leap into entrepreneurship in September 2020. As she was starting her own business, I helped Ashley with the financial aspects of the startup. Helping her with her business forecast & modeling, I didn’t expect much from the situation, but she told others of what I did and by January 2021 I have twenty: J&B Financial Services was officially up and running.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ah this is hard one! Sacramento isn’t known for it’s nightlife but they do have pretty solid spots to grab delicious meals. One of my favorite places to go in Mas Taco Bar in Downtown or Station 16.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My grandma! After losing Evelyn unexpectedly in 2013, I knew I wanted to make her proud and leave a namesake behind. She was an incredibly strong and intelligent woman who was the epitome of a sassy southern woman. So I named my company Jordan and Bright after her maiden and married name.
