We had the good fortune of connecting with Ned Garnier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ned, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
Professionally, I would like to be in a position not only where I am happy looking back at the steps that led me to where I am but where I created a space to push the narrative of fictional story telling. Bringing to life heroes and characters that create a new status quo of hope and success in film and media. A place where I have inspired the youth to push the boundaries of imagination and encouraged them to be more imaginative and create works of art that they would want to see in the world.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actor. I portray characters through film and television. What sets me apart from others is how freethinking I am and my level of imagination. I don’t think there is anything that holds me back from letting my imagination show through acting in film. I am proud of how far I’ve come in such a short time and I am most excited about what the future holds as I continue along this path. This path was not easy and to be honest I got to where I am today through a lot of hard work and even harder working luck. I had to overcome my many challenges through consistent work and never letting anything come in between my passion. I’ve learned many lessons along the way, but the most important lesson that I learned was that the process calls for failure and the most important thing to do is to learn from them and continue moving forward.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In the city of Atlanta there is an abundance of entertainment. My favorite is a local bar called Johnnie MacCraken’s. This place has great a atmosphere with live music and an exciting staff that keep bringing me back. Another spot that I really like is called Atlanta Motor Speedpark where you can race go-karts on a live track. It is one of my favorite things to do and there’s nothing better than speeding past your friends.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my manager, Malik Brooks. He has helped me throughout my acting career. I also want to shoutout my parents, they are extremely supportive in my journey and without them, I wouldn”t be where I am today.
