We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristina Witsee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Anna and I have been best friends for years. About five years ago, when I was first getting into podcasts, I thought that Anna and I could take a crack at doing a podcast because whenever I shared our text conversations people were interested. We tried it back then, and it just didn’t jive, we talked forever, but without any structure. It wasn’t until Anna was aligned and listening to podcasts that we came to a point where we could go ahead with it. At first it was for fun and to stay connected, and then we started to realize that what we were sharing was resonating. That is when we decided to see if we could slowly shift it into a viable business. It has been a slow process because we still have our other jobs, and we want to ensure that we are maintaining the integrity of what we are doing with our products. I had a similar process with my own business of doing intuitive coaching. I have been slowly building a client base, but now that I have shifted more of my focus, I notice it is really is growing more. Of course the This Spiritual Fix podcast helps with that growth.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This Spiritual Fix podcast is unique in that it has unintentionally become a serial about spiritual growth. Anna and I have always been interested in self-improvement and different spiritual practices, and the podcast was originally meant to be a vehicle allowing us to explore more and share our experiences from the past. It has been the audience response that has really taken it to the next level. We structure the podcast with themes for each season, as of January 2022, we are halfway through our third season which is about Tantra, the masculine and feminine energies, and the Mother wound. When we get to some big piece of shadow work, like the Mother wound, we structure it as a series so that we can share all our guidance and allow the topic to expand as we discuss it over the weeks in prep to air the episodes. Following the airing of these series, we normally get people contacting us, asking for help and guidance, which is why we create packages and are in the process of making a Mother Wound course, to facilitate the work in others. This is one of the most rewarding and exciting parts, to have people email us and tell us we have changed their lives for the better. Our biggest lesson is one that originates in the meditation practice that we both started off in, Vipassana. When you feel agitated or want to react strongly, wait a moment, it is likely that you will change your mind about how your approach it if you simply observe your need to react and let the emotion healthily disappate.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For me, it is Doraville eating, the incredible food out on Buford Highway, including the Buford Highway farmer’s market if they want hard to source food. Also, the Pheonix and dragon, a metaphysical shop in Sandy Springs for all things crystals, tarot and oracle decks etc. The Modern Mystic in Ponce City Market is also a great place to take people if you are in town. I also love Apothecary Rx as a wonderful little show to get amazing tinctures with medicinal mushrooms and CBD. If I am near Druid Hills, I never fail to take a friend to Health Unlimited on North Druid Hills. Anna’s favorite restaurant is Rumi’s, which has incredible Persian food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Every day I get continual support from the partnership that Anna and I have formed over the last year with This Spiritual Fix podcast. Joining in a partnership has given us the opportunity to sometimes look directly at each other when doing ‘the work’, and Anna has stuck with it through thick and thin. So my biggest shoutout goes to my podcast partner Anna, who has stuck it out through all the highs and lows of processing and sharing our process, while also trying to create something that resonates with people. I would also say that our families have been incredible. Our podcast is unique in that we are the subject of it oftentimes, and the pain and process that we go through is on full display to our audience, and we can’t always insulate our family from our growth. Anna and I are both very busy people — Anna runs her own Physical Therapy home visit business (Magnolia Physical Therapy in Atlanta) as well as a website creation business (Logolalia Design) in addition to raising her two beautiful children, and I run my coaching business, work as a VP, and am starting a farm and retreat center(Talumeria, Inc). Without our families, particularly our partners, who support us through all of our growth, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve the impact this last year that we have.
