Meet Ericka Smith | Personal Organizer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ericka Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ericka, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I had always wanted my own business but I knew I didn’t want to sell anything like other people and I knew I wasn’t in the beauty world like most females that could do hair, lashes, nails or sell clothes. I wanted to do something in my own lane. I had to constantly think about what I was good at without even knowing it was my organization skills. My room and closet would always be a certain way and I would always know if something was missing my how I kept it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always loved art and fashion so I combined the two. I love bright colors and different combinations of things. As far as clothes, I remember having to wear uniforms my entire school life even during public school but me, I had to find a way to dress it up to express myself and set me apart from others. I use to try on different clothes and accessories like a fashion show every week so I know what looked good with what and so that I didn’t have to rush to find anything the day of school. Good times. I didn’t know what God was preparing me the whole time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am the spot queen. People love to come ask me where to go because I love to entertain and I know where to go! I live in Atl so it’s an endless list of places to go. So many places, I’m not sure where to start. Food.. Nouveau Bar & Grill, The Real Milk & Honey, Pappadeaux, Capital Grill, the list continues. I’m a big kid so I love to go to entertainment centers ( Main Event, Andretti, Dave & Buster’s) anything where we can bowl, arcade, laser tag, play pool, putt putt, eat , drink and have a good time I’m sold. I love to hang out, even like a picnic, homemade movie night, game night, anything I love to plan it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout-out my cousin Briana for pushing me to know what my skill was and making me create the business. She is a successful businesswoman who owns a beautiful hair salon called Bxquisit and has been for many many years. She puts people on all the time. I would also like to thank my mom for that military discipline she instilled in me to make sure things were always neat and clean.
