We had the good fortune of connecting with Tenease Flowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tenease, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my brand is customer service.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I realized at a young age that i had gifted talents to design and the heart to help others. Therefore, I was encouraged by family and friends to use my craft skills with styling hair and my passion to help others by, promoting my love for hair. It took a lot of hard work and dedication 24 years to be exact . My love for the industry and customer service has kept me in business for so long , not to mention my kids are a big motivation as well . I want them to have a role model and someone they could be proud of. I’ve learned plenty of lessons, but what sticks out the most is treat people how you would want to be treated.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was staying for a week , we are eating at all the seafood restaurants . First , crabs , then the food market down in the Hampden area . We’re going to fells point to bar hop . I love the spa . We would have a spa day at About Faces in kenilworth . Also , B-more licks for ice cream , then waffies for waffles and ice cream .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To all the beautiful clients they keep my business a float . The customers that turned into family. I have two mentors that helped shaped my career Brenda Fletcher and Tondria Johnson
