Meet Lil Strawberry | Model, Rapper, Dancer & Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lil Strawberry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lil Strawberry, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ever since I was born, I was born with a strawberry birthmark on my forehead so my mom knew I was always going to be a beautiful model! I was always dancing, and I had so much confidence when I started modeling at the age of 4! Then as I got older I wanted to become a rapper so I started freestyling and got really good at it and started writing my own songs! I just love the way music and the camera makes me feel so I know I am meant to be a big star when I grow up!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love being a creator! I feel what sets me apart from others is that I don’t like to do what others are doing. I always like to do my own thing and be a trend setter and do make other content that others aren’t making. I like to show my true personality rather than only make dancing videos or taking pictures. I’m a funny and sassy person and I love showing that side of me! And with my birthmark I like to promote self love because God made us all the way we were meant to be and that we all need to be confident in ourselves no matter what others may think about us! I am most proud of the fact that I am from Delaware, a small town with big dreams that no one makes it out of, and I moved to Atlanta, a huge city right in the beginning of the pandemic and made something big of myself in a short amount of time! I don’t think it was too hard for me and my mom because we always had our own unique style of clothes and hair that no one else in Atlanta had at the time so we were able to stand out and get poppin! We were grateful to be able to meet and collaborate with other Atlanta influencers that were already established that helped us get our foot in the door. It definitely still was a challenge because my mama is a single mom and and we didn’t have a big support team like a lot of the other influencers, but with hard work and never giving up we were still able to keep going and all of our followers love us for our authenticity! This year I was also proud to be reposted by Cardi B for recreating her hairstyles, and I got to rap for Mulatto! That was so awesome!! The biggest lessons I’ve learned was to keep my head up no matter how hard life got and to always work hard! I learned not to overthink so much and to just keep pushing no matter what! That’s the hardest part, but with faith we made it through. I want the world to know that one day the entire world will know my name, and to know that everything is possible! It is possible to make it from nothing to something! My mana always taught me how to make money so I can’t wait to drop my own clothing line this year in 2022, and drop new music! 2022 is about to be so lit!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend from back home were to come visit Atlanta, we definitely would have to go visit the six flags in Georgia first! I love amusement parks! Then I would invite her to one of my shows so she can see me perform on stage and meet all my other influencer friends! Then we would have to eat at Jamal’s Wings on west side because that is my favorite wing spot in all of Atlanta! And we would have to then hit the selfie museum so we can take lots of pretty pictures!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Omg, most definitely shout out to my mama! She has been my biggest motivation ever! She sacrificed so much for me to become who I am, and has always encouraged me and pushed me to be the best I can be! She makes all my clothes from scratch, she does all my hairstyles, she drives me around the country for tours, and she helps connect the dots for me! We moved all the way to Atlanta from Delaware 2 years ago with no other family and friends, with big faith we will make it in the entertainment industry and it’s all paying off now!!
