Meet Gary Spencer II | SwaggDaddy (Music Artist), CEO (SGE Music Group LLC), CEO (Squad Goals Ent. LLC)

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gary Spencer II and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gary, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my business at the top of the pandemic. I didn’t have much but a dream and a few thousand when the opportunity presented itself to make Squad Goals Entertainment LLC. I followed it up with SGE Music Group LLC, SGE being Short for Squad Goals Ent. I’ve been involved and releasing music since 2015 building up my personal brand as SwaggDaddy the artist. The homies I had around strongly influenced my craft and allowed me to evolve which is why I made them part owners to a brand that I wanted bigger than myself. We made music together and created results so it was only right that we start a record label, music group, and a consultation service that specialized in helping underground artist, new artist, and even those who just toy around with music. I realized after seeing my success as an independent artist that my music had potential to create something bigger but I needed to separate my artist identity and give all of my supporters a platform to support not only myself but my brothers too. Thus SGE was created and now I want to brand it on a foundation of loyalty so that all artist that work with us feel like there’s a real team behind them, like my brothers were behind me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
You can search SwaggDaddy on Google now. Im proud to say that for sure. My music catalogue is vast and will keep growing because I love to create and I love to know how my form of self expression helps and influences those who listen to my music. It was 2017 when my first few fans actually reached out to me and told me that my music help get them through times of hardships, romances, you name it and thought to myself that being an artist was the right path for me. Ten years later I’m still in the game and gonna remain in it as long as can as an artist, an influencer, an artist developer, a producer, an engineer because music is what I love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Blessed to be an Atlanta native so I know all the places to go and site see. Monday we start light, with brunch at Mary Mac Tea Room, a trip to the Hyde Museum, maybe catch a Monday Night Football game at a brewery.
Tuesday we up it a little, breakfast at Barneys, slide to west side to see MLK house and the Herndon Home for the culture,
grab some Mr. Everything’s, then hit Auburn Ave, Edgewood for the nightlife.
Wednesday we cool it at the botanical gardens, embrace nature slide down to piedmont hit the park, then go for a stroll on the belt line on a late night tip maybe the Ferris wheel depending on the vibe.
Thursday I aint tryna spend no more money on you so we gone hit The Bando for some wings on a lunch tip, ride Marta and experience good Atlanta jays, and finish the night with some good eats like Korean BBQ or sushi.
Friday we hit Top Golf, slide to the aquarium on the busiest day of the week, hit the Coca Cola building try some random drinks, gotta hit the club maybe Compound then slide to the after hour booty club for the real Atlanta experience.
Saturday Im taking you to the airport cause Atliens do not want you here Sunday to boo the Falcons at the Benz Stadium and Seven days in Atlanta is too long, you liable to get robbed. But I love my city tho’.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to recognize my mother first, She is definitely my biggest supporter and fan. She has always been influence when it came to the music side. Im an only child but I picked up a few brothers along the way who are part owners and artist that I help manage which include RacksB4, Churchiehoe, BABY CEEJ, ACEKXLD, Deezy D, and my boy Max Green. They know who they are and I’m honored to get a chance to mention them so the world can know who they are as well.
